Akira doesn't look like much but the food is fresh, tasty and well made, with a good selection in the menu. The service is also very friendly and helpful.

Fresh ingredients, yummy food, highly recommend! Not suitable for big groups due to limited space and on Fridays and weekend it would be a wise idea to make a reservation.

Very good Japanese food!! Haven't had anything close to Japanese food since Japan and I was really happy to find this place passing by Köln. I recommend it, no questions asked.

It's a small, tidy restaurant with very helpful staff. There were three in our party and we sampled a wide range of the food on offer. Everything was just like we've eaten it in Japan, and completely delicious. Very impressed!

If you are really into a traditonal and good japanese cuisine this place is really a worth visit but you usually need a reservation (even during the week!) as this place is quite tiny.Four of us were happy with our Sushi, Sashimi, Tempura, Bento with Beef Steak and Udon. Each appetizer, main course and dessert were great. I got the fried prawn , the Beef Bento in Teriyaki Sauce plus Sashimi and the Rice Cake.The service was fast and friendly. The price isnt low but reasonable for the food quality.

This is a small restaurant that doesn't impress with its interior.... But the food is very good!The menu offers a wide choice besides the obvious Sushi selection. Fish, meat, noodles & curry was all there. It was actually hard to find a non-sushi-focussed place in Koln....The food is authentic and very tasty. We had some starters, most notably the chicken and tuna skewers were really good.The Gyuteri-Bento (beef) I had was excellent. The beef was tender and very tasty and it was accompanied by some great side dishes.Service was very friendly.

After living two years in Cologne and after all our visits during our holidays, Akira is certainly one of the best sushi restaurants we have been to. The menu is very varied, the drinks are also very good and the atmosphere is very enjoyable. The owners take great pride in their food and service and the quality is always consistent, no matter how many times you visit. I advise booking beforehand, as they seem to have very loyal customers, many tourists visiting and the restaurant is small. You will notice that there are always Japanese customers and that guarantees the quality and authenticity of their food. Cannot wait to go back! Visualizza piatti
