"We have eaten at Al Dente several times. It is usually one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Neither my husband nor I speak much French, and ordering from the menu has never been a problem in the past because whoever is taking our order gives us a little help. But last night, while making it known that we wanted the truffle pizza and also the chicken,(both the featured entrees of the day), we were served with two truffle pizzas. After explaining that we only ordered one and the chicken was the other, my pizza was taken away and I was left without a dish while my husband almost finished his food before mine arrived. Ok, I understand. Communication breakdown, but it spoiled the meal for us. We did our best not to blame anyone, but hey! leaving two people to almost eat separately is not good. However,the food, although arriving at two different times, was very good."

amazing Italian food. the personal was especially patient because of the language barrier. the spaghetti el pomodero was perfect

al dente serves delicious food. we have visited several times in the course of the years and have never been disappointed. the restaurant room is small and often crowded with late evening dinners that can lead with service slowly. I would recommend a reservation. that is said what they really do is eat good, and they come down in this category.

We were really disappointed, especially for the main dish. We had the veal and the cod and found them OK but really nothing out of the ordinary. We were expecting a lot more, after reading the reviews AND seeing the prices charged. The restaurant was busy, so it will not care about our opinion. Probably the residents of the are happy to pay such a high price for a standard Italian meal. We are not. It was perhaps the first time that La Fourchette has not been helpful as a guide.
