"Really enjoyed our meal at Albert’s. We had the fish pie and the Indonesian rice for our main course and vegan ice cream and Victoria Sponge for pudding. The fish pie was delicious, really tasty with plenty of fish. It was served with a side salad. The Indonesian rice came with a good portion of vegetables and was also really tasty. The vegan ice cream was rhubarb and raspberry and was lovely. The Victoria sponge was a bit dry and would have benefited from some pouring cream.Overall we were very impressed and will return when we visit Whitby again. It makes a change to have imaginative vegan choices alongside meat fish dishes. The tables are all well spaced out and we felt completely safe whilst we were there. It was clear that every effort had been made to keep customers and staff safe"

Booked a table but was shut, no issue with you deciding to close but why let me make a booking and then not notify me

The menu was very limited whereas the website promised great things. The website menu should be corrected to reflect the limited choices as a result of the Covid situation

Lovely venue with friendly and helpful staff. The food was nice enough but nothing to get excited about, especially considering the price. We'd probably pop back in there for a drink, simply because the venue is gorgeous

Test was really cold as need to keep door open due to covid, didn’t have the wine we ordered didn’t have any fresh crab, fish pie was dry the Mac n cheese just tasted of mustard very over priced for less than standard food Visualizza piatti

Fantastic little place although may be better for lunch when the museum is open. Had the special of Salmon on a bed of samphire which was delicious. Husband had the burger which was huge with amazing chips. Would definitely recommend

Booked and also confirmed a table for at on a Friday only then to find Restaurant locked up and shut on arrival. Afterwards emailed for an explanation but no reply. Things happen at the last minute but plain rude not to at least try and let customers know

Perfect way to end a great holiday in Whitby. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful charming in fact. My friend and I ordered two different dishes, and had half of each, each. And not an eyelid was batted when we dropped fish pie on the table, mid transfer! They just fetched us extra napkins The food was delicious, and obviously all freshly made. I highly recommend the Crab Omelette. Will definitely dine here again

Booked a table for for lunch on a busy Saturday, I am so glad we made the booking, we were a little early so wandered around the Jet Museum, I'd suggest you factor in some time for this as it was very interesting. We ordered crab sandwiches and a portion of chips to share, plus drinks, the staff were all very friendly and professional, the place was busy but service was still great and there was lots to look at and take in while we were waiting for the meal. The food was outstanding and very fresh, the sandwiches came with a pile of roasted veg crips and some delicious colslaw and I have to say that the chips were the best we ate over our entire break. We will definately be back for more nex...

"Booked for an overnight stay as visiting Whitby. Nice place, staff really friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely, only small but is fine for a one or 2 night stay. Large bathroom with nice bath but could do with a shower too. There was an electric heater that did take quite a while to warm the room up so could do with being put on 2-3 hours before check-in. Bathroom had a radiator and a heated towel rail so we tried leaving the door open for the warmth to circulate but there was a draft so that didn't work I think there's a crack in the bathroom window which probably should be looked at ! Slept fine, it's a double bed but we're used to a king size so seemed a little on the small side. We ate in the restaurant, we had a table near the bar which was very busy, but the food was really nice, the portions are HUGE, I probably left just as much as I ate which was a shame really ! Breakfast was included, there was a selection of cereals and orange juice. Cooked breakfast orders were taken at the table along with coffee/tea orders. Hubby opted for the Full English and I had the Veggie, both nice. Breakfast was served in a separate dining room to where we ate the evening before. Free parking is available but it is quite limited. There is road parking but it's a country lane so not a huge amount of space. We walked into Whitby, took about 30 minutes and then got a taxi back which was £9.00."
