Am Fuaran - Menu

Had a terrific meal there on our first night at campsite . They even managed to squeeze us in the following night as we just had to go back it was so good. Going back again in June this year

Food was good although a few things were off the menu. We had hoped for smoked salmon and langoustines both unavailable . Be aware that prices are NOT as advertised on their website be prepared to pay a good £10 more per dish!!!

whilst visiting Ullapool had lunch at Am Fuaran Bar great ambience/food and service for such a remote location we thoroughly enjoyed the crab claws and lobster a particular mention to Nicole who served us friendly/informative and very efficient

Nicole and Emily were both very welcoming and friendly, providing excellent service during our 4 visits to this restaurant. Andrew and Catrina are still here, maintaining great hospitality overall. The selection of fresh seafood is fantastic, and kudos to the chef!

Looking for food near Ullapool and came across Am Fuaran and weren’t we lucky beautiful evening drive to a real jewel of a place great menu surprising variety and quality and excellent meals staff were fun and the whole evening was 5 stars loved it don’t usually write reviews but couldn’t not give this

This meal was incredibly expensive for food that was mediocre at best. The chips were soggy, the salad tasted like it came from a supermarket, and the carrots tasted like they were just heated up from a bag. I ordered scampi and the prawns were flavorless, with thin and chewy batter. I feel myself and the people I went with were completely ripped off, and now I regret spending so much money. I will not be returning to this restaurant or recommending it to anyone. The only positive aspect was that the staff were pleasant.

We decided to dine at this restaurant based on its positive reviews, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. The staff were unfriendly and unreasonable. The Smoked Salmon starter we ordered for 12.95 was not whiskey-cured as advertised and did not taste fresh. The portion was also very small. The Vegetable Wellington we ordered was lukewarm, with uncooked vegetables and had a highly acidic taste. After eating, both of us experienced stomach issues within an hour, despite only finishing half of our meals. The prices at the restaurant were also high, with most dishes costing at least £10 more than listed on the website. Overall, we would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning...

We had been here several times in the past and has invited friends to join us. Not sure what’s happened but the prices have almost doubled from what’s being advertised on the website. So that was a shocker for starters. Also the food was really poor. I had the scampi which came with frozen crinkle cut chips, packet salad and carrot batons warmed up so they were bland and limp. Dreadful! I didn’t even eat that it was so bad. All for £24 compared to the £14 shown on the website. It used to be very good food but £14 would have been expensive for the poor quality.
