absolutely the place to visit when they are meltonmowbray. the beer garden is perfect, the staff is friendly and helpful and eating is delicious x

Six of us, all family friends came for lunch. We were a little disappointed as the meals were not very hot. We told the waitress who said she would tell the chef but we didn’t hear any more. Thought it was overpriced too.

Called in twice, once for drinks second time we had the ploughman platter. Would definitely recommend, we were lucky enough to be able to sit outside in the beer garden, a lovely spot and the two ladies behind the bar were lovely.

first pub we came from the parking lot and loved him during our cold winter visit. fire with a warm atmosphere. the food was a good value for money and beautifully presented, surely the best ham, egg and chips by far! dad loved the Titanic-Stout, it was very good.

I loved this place. the story is fantastic. the woman behind the bar was also very knowledgeable, I would like to talk to her all night. the food was excellent. we had both steakcakes, the cute was nice. I would definitely recommend this place. my man also liked the beer.

We stopped off at Melton Mowbray on the way back from Oxfordshire and came across this gem for lunch. They had a great selection of real ales and wine choice. We chose a sharing platter which when it arrived we weren’t sure we would get...through it. It was superb. A lovely quirky pub which I would highly recommend.

Amazing food ! Can’t fault the place second time we have visited and equally both visits have been great , excellent chef and choice of menu , bar staff and waitresses and waiters are friendly ! We are staying from Norfolk ! I wish this...was my local , such a good find , the price is reflective of the good quality food and ingredients will deffo come back

Staying at a local hotel overnight we were not inspired by their menu so went out in to Melton to see what we could find. This historic pub is located near the main church just off the centre of Melton. We found a good...range of drinks, friendly welcoming staff and a menu with plenty of variety. we enjoyed an excellent meal, well prepared and presented, and would certainly head straight here to eat if we were in the area in the future. A great find.

I had said that was an excellent place to eat. my friend traveled a long distance to come to lunch after I told her it was recommended. our main complaint was the bad service, drinks over the table twice, with a...Giggle of 2 different servers and no offer of wipe off the table, I told the server that I wanted only green beans on my meal, but it came with the sweetness I didn't like, 2 people couldn't work out our bill, it was a shameful and fable. After I had repeatedly emailed the owner by e-mail, I now sign my bad review that I would not have done if he had replied to my asking at a time he replied, but I had no feed back to our experience.
