"Short story Unexpectedly good Indian food, Quickly served, Approx EUR 65 for lunch for six adults I say that's value for money, friendly staff. Long story We were in Salou and I was tasked to find a restaurant for late lunch. I went around and found Ashoka Taj Mahal. I wasn't quite sure of Ashoka from outside, however when others arrived I decided to give it a try, well perhaps I didn't want to walk any further. Greeted at the entrance by Bittu, who brought the tables together for us without hesitation. We ordered steamed rice, garlic naans, peshawari naan, Ashoka naan, lamb karahi, mixed veg and paneer karahi. mild spicy. Food arrived in 10/12 mins I believe and to everybody's surprise, it was indeed very good. Wish we had ordered bit more spicy and it would have been even more authentic tasting. Nonetheless there was nothing to complain and we were happy that stepped into Ashoka. To top it all, we ordered Indian tea (with ginger) and it too matched the expectations. Had a friendly chat with Bittu before leaving and that's when I decided to write a review of our experience at Ashoka. If we ever visited Salou again, I would look to go back."

Friendly staff, food was lovely and have enjoyed my chicken vindaloo and my partner had the flounder fish with chips and salad. Was very nice!!

Well, after a few San Miguel’s we took ourselves out for a ‘bab and or a pizza. We ordered the pizza to go, but while we waited the food smells, the plates brought past us made my curry spider-senses tingle. Quick order of onion bhaji , chicken Balti and a garlic naan and we were not disappointed. Superb Bhaji, top notch curry and naan. Worth the , highly recommend a visit.

3 of us ate here, 2 adults and a child. We all had very different meals, I had indian, Jenny the skewer and Sophie the pizza. All 3 dishes were very good. The restaurant was almost empty, just one other table occupied so we were a bit unsure, however we had an excellent meal with drinks, which was very reasonable, can't remember exactly possibly €45 or so. The restaurant decor is very nice and looks well, very extensive menu and the service was fine, surprised this place is not busier. I would go back. Regards Colm.
