A lovely place to have a hearty meal in a real German atmosphere. The food is hearty and delicious, the decor simple and the atmosphere is wonderful. Good value as well!

If you wish to have the best "Handkäs mit Musik" in Frankfurt than this is absolute must! The place is always packed and has a great atmospher. The prices are also very reasonable.

We went here on the off chance and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was excellent and the ambulance was a busy and family oriented. It is in the German bench style so you could be sat next to people who you don't know. If you want a typical German experience you won't go far wrong by going here. Visualizza piatti

I'm not a native German but I've been living here long enough to know the difference between a freshly cooked Schnitzel and something that was stored waiting to be warmed up and served. Also, the Frankfurter Schnitzel comes with Bratkartoffeln and not Pommes (as in fried). Terrible service, dirty tables and loud. Won't come back.

Sitting here on a lovely, rainy afternoon with friends playing cards, drinking apfelwein and eating green sauce. One of my most cherished memories of Germany. We all tasted each other's plates and there wasn't a bad dish on the table. We had to come back...for more plate before we left Frankfurt and the bartender (who didn't speak much English) treated us to a delicious dessert drink. Don't miss this place!

It’s been a long time since I was last in Frankfurt but I had fond memories of evenings in Atschel drinking Apfelwein and enjoying local specialities. My return did not disappoint. It is unusual times with Covid restrictions in place. You have to show proof...of vaccination, recovery or a negative test under national regulations. As a UK national I carry a printout of my NHS Covid pass so much easier than fiddling with my phone. This was absolutely fine. The staff were very friendly, especially with my german. It wasn’t necessary as they spoke excellent english, but I persisted! Frankfurter schnitzel with fried potatoes and local grüne Soße was excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Visualizza piatti
