"We had a dinner here with a friend, a Saturday evening, end of July 2016. There was an astonishingly affordable menu starter, main course, dessert) for only 15€ ! And with many interesting choices ! I did choose : Salade piémontaise : average, Dos de lieu : slightly good, Pain Perdu : good. About the food I have to say that, well, somehow I was kind of disappointed. But for this price I couldn't expect a lot. And I was very happy to have such a menu at this affordable price. Over my expectation indeed) We also had a free starter, good one : some Rillettes. My girlfriend, as our friend, did choose Moules Marinières : well done ! I've tasted it of course) And it was a large portion. And our friend also choose : jarret if my memory is good) : well done also ! And the other good points are : the location : in front of La Loire, very nice landscape, a very quiet place, even with the road which is just besides the restaurant, and the pleasant staff. I, and Indeed all of us, did spend a very nice evening. I recommend this restaurant without the shadow of a doubt !"

We started going to this restaurant about thirty years ago when it was our firm favourite. We left the area 15 years ago but returned for the first time this weekend. The same owners are there offering the same exceptionally high standard of food. Good generous and delicious. The menu du jour is exceptional value for money and offer almost too much choice

We stayed for two nights at Au Poisson d'Argent and ate in the restaurant both evenings, so had a fair selection of dishes on the €33-34 menu. Can recommend them all (see pix). Bonus was a couple of amuse bouches which filled the time while our food was prepared: rillettes with toast, followed by chilled gazpachio. Both delicious. For starters I had an assiette de fruits de mer which was gorgeous, with oysters, langoustines, prawns, whelks, mussels. The second evening a plate of prawns (advertised as 12, but actually 15).
