friendly and smiling welcome well placed along the canal, the pretty terrace has the shade of the veils the dishes offered are attractive well prepared and good taste to wish a good quality address to remember

IIn the past, this was a very nice place to eat. Nowadays it is almost impossible to find it open. The sign on the door gives very clear opening times, but it is very seldom that the door is actually unlocked to let you in. I have now given up trying. Visualizza piatti

It's just charming sitting under the plane trees at the rear of this fantastic restaurant along the canal watching the sun set. The owner is always polite and delivers beautiful food and there's always a good choice of dishes. We always make an effort to dine here at least a couple of times during our regular holidays to this area.

Food and atmosphere were high on the list for this restaurant in this delightful setting! We had a table outside looking straight onto the canal with the boats moored for the night. As the sun slowly sank the quiet sounds of the evening were magic. We walked to and from here and as we were not far it was a lovely end to the evening! Highly recommended.

We have attempted to visit this restaurant recently. It gave every appearance of being abandoned. Doors chained, locked, broken chairs and overturned tables scattered in the very dirty outdoor area.No answer to the telephone and when one attempts to access the website one is redirected to a Chinese Glamour Girl and Chinese writing..a language not understood by us.Any information would be welcome. Brightly covered tables under the trees in front of a beautiful French manor. Located on the canal, this place exudes charm! We ordered one of the prie fixe meals and it was superb. Best meal of our trip. The three course meal was very gourmet in it's selection of items, and extremely reasonably priced. Each of the three courses had several tastes on the plate: fresh salad, an onion tart, a baked vegetable dish, etc. At the end we each chose a different dessert to share, and since we had trouble narrowing our selection to four, the very nice hostess also brought us the creme brulee as well. A really great ending to our Canal du Midi vacation!

Haven't visited for sometime but when we did the food was very good and the location superb.The service perhaps left something to be desired but that is academic now as it seems that the place is no more, it has ceased to be, it is an ex-eatery.What a pity! The location is superb on the banks of the Canal Du Midi and it deserves an enterprising (few and far between it seems in France) concern to get in amongst this place, deck it, apply the jump leads and rock-on. Visited L'Arbousier after a beautiful day cruising on the canal so looking for a suitable end to the day. We were not disappointed. Having read the previous reviews we saw the tables set out under the trees as we sailed into Homps so decided to walk over the bridge and along the canal side to take a look at the menu. A menu de jour at 21 Euros gave a suitable variety of 3 entrees, 5 plats and 4/5 desserts. The maitre d/owner worked alone and therefore at 8.30 there was a slight wait before things started to happen, however it was a beautiful place to sit on a Sunday evening enjoying the vista.
