Ate hear with friends. Just stopped for a drink, but checked Trip advisor. The bar/restaurant used to be rough, but new owners have done a great job. Excellent menu, great service

das this bistro, and in the summer mainly on the terrace, are found in a mix of local tourists and artisans in an atmosphere of a village bar. very good dishes at noon for 11 to 12 euros and a simple but warm welcome!

Family evening meal with pre-dinner drinks sitting out front watching Plan de la Tour village life. We loved the food and my daughters enjoyed the children’s menu. The couple and team who looked after us were great and their hospitality made the evening. I’d definitely...recommend.

While walking around near Chatelet, I stumbled upon this cosy local bar. I had a lovely time, great food for tapas and snacking at any time of the day till late at night. Prices are pretty decent and the tenant is a genuine French lady. Typical French atmosphere in a typical historical place.

It is the bar of the country, in front of the post as its name indicates. serves as a simple and good kitchen for a more than reasonable price. local artisans and workers often come to lunch, which is a good sign. meals served in the room but in the summer a small patio at the back allows to eat in a quiet under the greenery and parasols. We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. Pretty setting, both at the street side, inside as at the terrace at the back. We had the tuna tataki and the encornet persillade. The latter was just really perfect, based on a local recipe! After that,...we had the Salers for the meat melted in our mouth, it was de-li-cious! As a dessert, the Ananas rôtie façon pina colada, again a dish of which we wanted to lick our plate. The waiter/ owner( was a really nice guy who knows the menu and his products by heart. Having previously lived in Plan De La Tour, I would say the bar was known for its locals having a drink, or a morning cafe. Not long ago they began serving some inexpensive lunches. Well one afternoon while visiting (have since moved away to another Provencal town nearby) I saw the daily plate of fish and chips. Not expecting a British equivalent (I am not British) but it was a wonderful warm day - so why not, with a glass of rose and a great location for people watching along the main street - and I was hungry. Fantastic and characterful upgrade of the old village bar to a new level whilst not losing the appeal of the original social centre of the village. Suddenly there is now a rear terrace with live music, a New York interior-designed feel to the interior but...in keeping with the village still and the street front terrace is still the place to watch the world go by and sip a pastis, a pression or a cappuccino. And then there is the food … a whole menu that changes sometimes to suit the season and makes use of a lot of local produce to suit any taste steaks (even wagyu cedar smoked salmon fillets, and the caramelised grilled pineapple in a Pina colada sauce to name just a few.
