Dicen que nunca te detengas en el primer lugar de la ciudad. Éste no estaba mal de ninguna manera, pero era demasiado caro. Pagué 6€ por un pequeño desayuno que probablemente costaría 4€ en otro bar. ¡Recordaré preguntar los precios antes de realizar el pedido la próxima vez!

Don’t come here expecting haute cuisine. We had the Pilgrim’s menu. They’d run out of the 3 most interesting sounding dishes. Our hake and chips was ok; a very boring salad preceded it; followed by desserts served in their supermarket packaging. Seasonal fruit was the best dessert option delicious watermelon.

We called in for coffee when walking the camino. Charming waitress and reasonable barman. Good quality coffee, better than the usual. Thankfully the TV was not on, compared to most other places which have an incessant diet of sport or daytime programmes. Instead, decorated in good taste and a peaceful ambiance. We did not eat there.

Paramos a almorzar haciendo el Camino de Santiago y tomamos un bocadillo y un café, que en mi caso tuvo que ser un café solo ya que no tenía leche sin lactosa. Por otro lado el bocadillo estaba bastante bueno y además el ambiente con una música tranquila era agradable y relajante. Un oasis en medio del frío de la meseta en noviembre.

Personalmente disfruté de un descanso en el Camino. Muchos se quejan de los precios y habiendo hecho ya todo el Camino no entiendo de qué se quejan ya que lamentablemente la situación es general y es así en casi todas partes y la mayoría de bares se aprovechan de los peregrinos. Había un ambiente agradable aquí, mucha variedad y todos quedamos satisfechos.

We wandered up from our hotel and wanted to sit and eat outside, all the tables were taken but one with local ladies told me to get a table and chairs from a stack at the side of the village square. We got our furniture, sat down and were soon given menus. 10 Euros for a three course meal including half a bottle of wine. The portions were huge. Starters included: minestrone soup, tomato pasta, vegetable stew, tuna and egg salad. Mains included: chicken and chips, veal scallop and chips, chorizo and chip.
