"Food was outstanding but service had several inexcusable elements. At the start of dinner when we were given menus to look at, I (a woman) was horrified when I realized that my male dining companion had a menu with prices, while my menu did not...have prices. Is this restaurant really so outdated that women have different menus? I found this incredibly offensive and sexist. This is the 21st century, please get on board. At the end of the meal, when we were paying, I used my credit card and was asked by the waiter whether I wanted to leave a tip for the staff. I am more than happy to leave tips in the US and other countries where that is the custom. However, in my entire time in Switzerland, it's been made clear to me that tip is not expected, and this is the only restaurant that ever even mentioned it. Maybe they were shocked a woman was paying? Maybe they wanted to take advantage of an American tourist? We also noticed other tables got a little bag of chocolates to take home at the end of the meal. We never got ours. I'm sure this was simply a mistake, but for a place with a Michelin star, I expect better. These issues with the service are a real shame because the food is exceptional. We did the 8 course tasting menu. The tomato appetizer was one of the most creative dishes I've had. The farm egg course was also a highlight incredible flavors and texture. I really enjoyed the potato cappuccino. The cheese cart was a nice touch, as we got to try some new cheeses based on our preferences. The wine pairing introduced us to some interesting Swiss wines throughout our meal. One negative point on the beverages though we started with a champagne aperitif, which was simply Veuve Clicquot. While high end and tasty, it's less original than I would have hoped for from a place of this caliber. Overall had a fine night but the separate women's menu and the fact they found it appropriate to take advantage of Americans means I would never return or recommend this restaurant to others."

We went there with other friends and sat by the window. Great view from the lake and the Montblanc during sunset. Service was attentive. Food was tasty and creative. Great experience.

We had a wonderful family lunch at the Bayview. The food was exquisite and presented beautifully. I would suggest it to anyone who does not fear paying for a high quality experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat

We had the chef’s signature menu and all the dishes were fabulous. Perfect cooking, seasoning, taste, presentation. And the chef uses local and mostly seasonal products. One of the best 1 Michelin star restaurants we’ve been to.

Always a delightful moment at the Bayview restaurant! Chef Roth and his team are doing splendors to satisfy his clients. The service is optimal, the quality of the ingredients, the savors, the dressing of the plates, seasonal products, the view, the seating a bliss!!!!...We will go back to enjoy again Geneva’s best culinary talent creations

Star Michelin, the Bayview is a nice restaurant, with great service and gourmet food. Amazing price for a menu during the week. Romantic spot in fron of Lake Geneva in a fancy 5 star hotel nexz to an icon of Geneva builidngs: Palais Wilson. Excellent...wine list and very good deserte with amenities which makes a diffeent from a very normal and yet expensive simialr restaurant in town.

Horrible experience at Bayview. We arrived 6 minutes late for our booking at 13.30, were seated and the informed that the Chef had already decided to close the kitchen and would not be serving us. After complaining, they finally agreed to serve us. We wanted...to order the tasting menu and the Chef decided that it was not available, could not be bothered to prepare it for us. Never have I experienced a more appalling treatment in a restaurant of this nature. Beware and do not dare to arrive a second after 13.30 or the Chef will not be bothered to serve you.
