"I had mentioned that there was a vegetarian in our group when I made the reservation, but when we arrived, they had run out of veggie burgers. They offered to make a pasta dish instead, which my friend chose. However, when it came out, it was a butternut squash curry and lacked flavor and presentation. There were no accompaniments like naan or chutneys as promised. I asked about the meat options available and was told beef, lamb, pork, and chicken, but only pork was offered on the menu. The pork dish was overcooked and had strange marks on it, the sauce was bland, and the vegetables were overboiled. The Yorkshire pudding was subpar as well, and we had to use steak knives to cut through the meat. One of my friends who prefers her meat well-done couldn't even finish her meal. The shrimp dish looked nice though."

Wasn’t too sure what to expect as late on Wednesday and no one else in eating but have to say Fish and Chips was brilliantly cooked and very tasty and Scampi also lovely. Picture tells its own story

After a previous bad experience, we decided to try our local pub again after hearing it was under new management. Sky sports is back as is the curry nights etc and there was live music on. Food was reasonably priced, hot and tasty. Lovely staff...and service. We will be returning.

the menu on the website is not what is in the offer, very long wait with just a few tables in the pub, eating came cold after a long wait. pasta pasta pasta was pasta with melted cheese. what a shame when we all really thought about it. for that. it seemed all nice and clean and friendly staff.

The restaurant offers excellent food that caters to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The dining room is stunning with a beautiful fireplace and ambiance that creates a cozy atmosphere. During a short break to Eamont Bridge, we decided to visit the Beehive for a meal as it was very close to our cottage. We were made to feel very welcome by the new ownerJason and as it was curry night, ordered the curry and...pint for The food was delicious and certainly good value for money. Wishing Jason and team the best of luck for and hope to see you again should we be in the area.

We were staying at North Bank Cottage and popped in for a drink on Saturday evening. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff and booked for a meal later on in the week. The food was freshly prepared and none of the...seven of us had any complaints which were shown by our empty plates. There was plenty of choice on the menu and a specials board. I would also say that it was very reasonably priced. We then stayed for drinks and enjoyed a few games of pool. I would certainly eat there again if I was staying in the area.
