"The food at this café is prepared with care and attention to detail, resulting in both delicious and visually appealing dishes. The café is small and charming, located conveniently on the high street with friendly staff. They are dog-friendly and are currently expanding the seating downstairs to accommodate more guests. Additionally, they support local artists by displaying and selling their work. The seating capacity is limited and they take a 25% commission on art sales, which some may find to be high but is a common practice."

I popped in for some take-away, lovely range of yummy cakes, and other vegan snacks. Nice range of syrups to customise coffee, all the m*lks. Lots of interesting art on the walls, for sale. Great vibe. Updated from previous review on 2021-10-28 Visualizza piatti

many art hang up, beautiful selection of vegan cakes and tarts and some quirky drinks. if we had been in the opposite, I would have tried the beetroot latte. her Turkish latte with milk was amazing although she left me with a yellow ring around my mouth.

The restaurant had a lot of artwork on the walls, a nice variety of vegan cakes and tarts, and some unique drinks. If we had more time in the area, I would have loved to try the beetroot latte. The turmeric latte with oat milk was delicious, although it did stain my mouth yellow.

Finally, nice to see some vegan places that can swing up in a maldon. the caffe has a nice chilled vibe and it is good to see it busy when I’m busy for coffee and grub in. As with many boutique vegan places, the prices are on the higher side, but I’m always happy to support a local busy, especially when it comes to being vegan. hopefully they have one day the mut to fall the milk milk Visualizza piatti

the coffee food is made beautiful, with care and love to detail. Not only does it taste amazing, it also looks amazing. quaint small caffe, good location on the street friendly staff. dog friendly. they expand the caffe in the ground floor soon to offer more tables. they also support local artists by showing work for sale. limited seats. a contract for art sales is 25%, which I think is a bit high, but unfortunately often.

It's great to see some vegan restaurants opening up in Maldon. The cafe has a relaxed atmosphere and it's nice to see it bustling with customers when I stop by for coffee and food. Like many other boutique vegan restaurants, the prices are a bit on the high side, but I don't mind supporting a local business, especially one that is focused on vegan options. Hopefully in the future, they will have the confidence to switch to non-dairy milk.

"We come to Maldon fairly regularly and occasionally stay over. The New Pavilion is was one of our favourite go to restaurants. We arrived at 7:30, as booked, and were very happy to see the front restaurant full except for our table for two. We ordered drinks at the bar and sat at our table. Maybe we should have been more aware of the situation when, after about 15 minutes, we had to tell the staff we were now ready to order. The young waitress was very apologetic and we said it was no problem, not her fault as she was doing two jobs waitressing and covering the bar as the barman had literally disappeared and was occasionally seen serving an old meal. Now we were waiting. 40 minutes? During this time we noticed a number of people shaking their heads at the staff. People walking out after questioning the service and the delay. The poor waitress, we could literally hear her in the back room crying. When our starters came we cancelled our main courses. My wife said my baked Camembert looked like a crème brûlée. I did eat it though and pay for it. I was not going to put the waitress through any more stress. I spoke to the barman as we were leaving and he seemed very surprised that I mentioned the overload of work the waitress was doing covering both jobs. He never said what he was doing during his absence. I did say that as he was obviously not the owner it was probably not his fault as well. All the tables in our corner agreed with what I told the bar manager and we’re about to leave without food. I will be very interested to see the owners reply and any excuse he comes up with. There’s no excuse. Get more staff. Hopefully the waitress has walked across the road to a top restaurant that treat their staff better. She was brilliant and deserved better treatment."
