"Arranged to meet up with my family for a breakfast brunch.... It was suggested blue 55......didnt even know China blue in Totnes had a restaurant...... Anyway I agreed..... From the moment I arrived.... All the new restrictions are in place... Very clear..... I was taken aback at first and forgot to sanitizer, I got pulled up!! Sorry about that..... Meet my famy where a lovely cappuccino was waiting for me.... With a menu.... I fancied a full English breakfast..... I started reading..... I went for the El Classico !! To all..... I 'm in the trade..... But I 've never had a breakfast like it..... I tasted everything separately...... So tasty..... You also eat with you eyes.... See picture..... China blue..... Blue 55, I will 100% be back, you blue me away!! I will also be spreading the news the old fashion way!!! Telling everybody Thanks guys..... See you soon"

We have visited blue 55 many times, and every time we have always had a fantastic meal, staff are really friendly and food excellent, if you have never eaten there before,you are definitely missing out. What more can I say

Had lovely cake and hot drinks today Mulled wine was one of the best I’ve had for miles and miles Cakes lots of options really delicious and good value Vegan options Staff were mostly amazing one was quite moody and not very friendly but at the till we had a nice experience with the 2 ladies at the till they were lovely and helpful

Overall, the food is good and there is an acceptable choice of beer and wine, including Pandit IPA. However, I don't want to eat my meal next to a windowsill covered in dead flies. Nor am I impressed when my daughter returns from the loos to report that the seat was broken in one and the door didn't lock in another. Sort these issues out and please give the place a damn good clean, not forgetting the cobwebs and we may come back. Visualizza piatti

I have been to Blue 55 many times, and every time I always am surprised over and over by just how delicious their burgers are, they are genuinely the nicest burgers I 've eaten and I have had a lot. Furthermore, the service is brilliant and the staff and very friendly and now treat me as a regular. I would recommend this to everyone because even if you are vegetarian they have veggie options and even an option for a 'naked ' burger without the bun. Fantastic

Was very disappointed with choice of snack and drinks at this establishment for young children,ie my grandson is 4yrs. Firstly no small milkshakes ,told only adult size ones !!!!!!! Come On please, nearly £5 for a milkshake and you couldn't do a smaller one for a child !!!! Sausage roll awful and cheesy chios was like eating thin bits of cardboard. Where was the cheese !!!!!! Overall, awful value for money and very overpriced Will not recommend or visit again

"The positive is that the food is good. But the negative is the service time and the attitude of the staff. We were seated and had our order taken after 20 minutes. A little slow but it was a busy Saturday evening so understandable. Starters came promptly and were eaten. We then got ignored by every passing member of staff for at least 50 minutes. Quite the skill! Once there was a break in our conversation and I realised how long it had been, I stood up to intercept a waitress and asked “are our mains on the way, please?” Our ticket was checked by her at the kitchen hatch and we were told “yes”. At this point our starter plates were cleared after they had sat on the table for at least 35 minutes. Our mains then took another 25 minutes to get to us, so I suspect that being told they were on their way was a lie. To be clear: we were given our mains 1hr 20 mins after placing our order. I complained to a waitress who sent over a manager. The manager asked if we’d had starters (yes, we had) and said that it was our fault our main was so late as we’d had a first course. How insulting!!! Blaming the customer for their bad service. Disgusting. When I said it was still far too long to wait between courses she then changed tack and said the kitchen was “really really busy” well, they weren’t busy cooking our food now were they?! And despite the place being full when we arrived, by this point of the night over half the tables were empty. There were 3 tickets on the pass along with ours and tables were 2 4 people (no large groups) so I feel that was also another lie to get out of it. What a shocking way to treat customers! My advice to you is: if you want your food served in a timely manner, either take the advice of the manager and don’t order a starter, or, be sure to communicate with waitstaff once your first course is finished and ask for your main to be cooked and served promptly. (Note: food also sat under the heat lamps for long lengths of time as staff stood socialising with one another behind the bar rather than serve customers) I hope this advice is of use as I would have appreciated it ahead of my visit!
