"Booked for 3 pm on a Saturday. Arrived at 2.55 to be told that the table wasn't ready, still waiting at 3.05 while they put a few round tables together. Sat with the menus for a while until they came to take the drinks order. I asked for a glass of tap water to go along with the lager I ordered which never arrived. Food order was taken after half an hour of waiting with the pizzas arriving quite promptly after that, nothing much to say about the pizza, bit bland really even with the toppings I had. Service was abysmal with nobody coming to see if we needed any more drinks or was everything okay, staff seemed to be more focused on the bottomless brunch people. Need more training really, not good to be ignored. Won't be going back. Going to go to Rudy's on Silver Street instead."

"Simple answer would be. Loved the food well flavoured and cooked. Two of the photos are starters mushroom cheese the other chicken winds. The Mains chicken burger chips, beef burger chips and fajitas. The staff were very attentive and friendly. They catered for 10 of us which was appreciated. Hopefully when I'm down that way to visit my friends I can persuade them to have a meal there."

"the first time I was and will not be the last! how have I lived in ilkeston for so long and never tried to drop this place! to fall early and absolutely loved! while not the cheapest breakfast, the quality of the products more than for them. the location was tastefully done, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I love the fact that they also have a small art gallery and show local talent. two small suggestions for the owners. 1) they offer greater flexibility on orders. we wanted to order a few halloumi with breakfast next to our order (sometimes what can be ordered with another breakfast), but they said we couldn't. 2) offer more than a size of hot drink. small points but overall an excellent first visit."

"Booked here the evening before mother's day so didn't think they would fit us in but they did. The pub is situated in a very small village so it was good they had their own carpark with room to park. It's not a massive carpark so I could imagine it would be difficult to park on a busy day. On entering the pub you need to input your registration number due to parking restrictions on the carpark. There was a very loud, rowdy crowd in the bar area due to sport on the TV but we were seated in the other dinning room out of the way but you could still hear them. The food and the service were brilliant and the wine was excellent. Just felt like they could have set a bit more of an atmosphere by lighting the table lights and turning down the bright overhead lights. Overall it was a good night out even though we didn't stay that long. I would recommend this place for a nice meal just don't go if you want it to be a quite meal ! Especially if there are any sporting events on TV."
