"After I had tried to get to some of the restaurants near my hotel, I migrated to the marketplace to try this brasserie. went through the door, I was immediately greeted by a waiter and shown to a table. he was back to take my order for food and drinks. my beer was delivered quickly and soon afterwards my suppe came very tasty and very hot with the bread served in a paper bag! my pork (with braided vegetables and french french fries) was delicious with a good portion. the desserts were a bit inspiring, so I didn't bother with them and finished with a coffee. the cost for the meal came around gbp42, which seems somewhat lower than average for basel it must be somewhere that they can eat cheap, but I don't know where it is! the service was good and quite freendly; that is a fairly large restaurant with people came and went all the time when I was there, so I don't think they have a problem finding a table here. the menu is not big, but the food I had was well cooked and beautifully presented and I had no hesitation to call the next night again for dinner."

Das Essen war sehr gut und als Dessert mövenpick Glace mit frischen Früchten. Zum empfehlen. Mitte in der Stadt am Marktplatz.

the staff was rude and not friendly. it was not a proper way to treat customers. eating was in order, but not good quality. French fries were frozen

Just had French onion soup and a glass of wine, served promptly and presented well. Very tasty and piping hot, reasonable price. The caesar salad with chicken looked plentiful and delightful as well. No problems experienced with service or attitude of staff.

We had dinner here last week. This used to be a restaurant with a good wine selection and honest cuisine. Our salads had too much dressing, the plates just seemed to be served without much attention and everything was rather plain. Something has changed and...not necessarily for the best.

the salmon with saffron risotto and spinat with butter and cut roasted mandels ordered excellent! family ordered two types of flame cake and they were delicious the mojito was good and primitivo red wine was great! ends the meal with cream suzette and...caramelita sundae! the hostess was great with her recommendations.

In an informal but pleasant setting opposite the historic Town Hall, this restaurant offered a good menu with a specials board at lunchtime. Starter was onion soup (very strangely the bread was served in a paper bag! Surely a plate could have been provided); I...then chose Zanderfilet, very good fish, and banana split to finish. Friendly but leisurely service.

The waiters did not bother to get the bill for a very long time and then after the bill arrived they didn't bother to come back and collect it. They had a very casual attitude about the guest complaints. We found one hair strand in...the food and he did not even apologize, all he said was oh, I'll take it away There was no apologizing, no standards and pathetic service.

immediately seen at the door and directly at a table was a good start. throughout the service was good, friendly, attentive and helpful. the menu had a good selection of appetizers, small tellers, salads and a series of traditional Swiss pornstars. cocktsils, beer and a selection of good weeping were all available to reasonable Swiss cost.
