"To get to Jedermann from the center of Leipzig you take tram 7 in direction Böhlitz-Ehrenberg and get off at stop Wielandsstrasse, walk back about 100 meters and you will find the restaurant in Georg-Schwartz-Strasse 28 on the corner with Uhlandstrasse.Jedermann is furnished with old tables and chairs but seemed to be popular with the locals of all ages. Only one table was free when we got there at a quarter to eight in the evening. Today’s special offers were written on the board. The menu was all in German but was translated to English in one notebook that followed the exact order of the German menu.The two of us decided to try traditional Saxon food and ordered beef stew with red cabbage and semmelknödeln (made of bread). To go with that we opted for German beer. As a dessert we had a good serving each of cheese cake. The food was very well prepared and the price value really high as the total bill came to about 25 euros.Jedermann provides free w-lan, daily paper and some magazines. I urge you to try Jedermann for its tasty and well prepared food and for the prompt and friendly service."

"Waren schon häufiger zu Gast bei den Kartoffelfräuleins. Hier bekommt die Ofenkartoffel ihren ganz großen Auftritt-egal, ob als klassische Variante oder als ausgefallene Kreation. "I don't know where to begin since there are so many things coming together in making this an extraordinary place in the most positive way. Most important: the food, which is sooo unbelievably good! Everything is vegan, organic and freshly made. You can choose from so many options and combinations that it's hard to get tired of it with that kind of variety.The people who run the place keep on coming up with ideas and new stuff, not just foodwise but also in terms of events and ways to spend the evening. There is a very creative spirit and the atmosphere is relaxed, cosy and like a little hideaway. I like the openness, the mixture of people and that it's easy to get talking to other people.Besides that I love the concept of bringing chemistry and food together in this way. The prices are very affordable, especially when one keeps in mind that everything is organic and high quality food. You really get the feeling that it's not so much about the profit and that it's a rather prosocial approach. "as a carved friend of Czech cuisine I was very excited to visit so locally also during my stay in leipzig. the selection on the menu is very authentic from my own speis and drank. the place is large, we sat very pleasant a little bit from the trubels in the farm. on our table was ordered above all the biergulasch, which was very crowded to all visitors. even the dog was allowed to enjoy fresh water. the receiving service has rounded off the experience that I will return."

Das restaurant ist nicht nur optisch eine Augenweide sondern auch kulinarisch sehr gehoben. Optisch ist das Restaurant sehr geschmackvoll im Stil eines Eisenbahnwagens eingerichtet. Die leuchtende Decke nimmt dem Kellergewölbe das typische kellerflair und nimmt einen auf eine kulinarische Reise mit.Wir hatten Thunfischtatar als Vorspeise und Fisch und Steak im Hauptgang. Beides war sehr sehr lecker, sehr schön zubereitet und sehr raffiniert präsentiert. Die garstufe war perfekt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hat unsere wünsche sehr liebevoll realisiert. "in the morning you should plan a few minutes at the parking lot search. the steep slippery steps made us a bit skeptical three-view, stabwort barrierfrei. but apparently this has never been a bigger problem (four man, four corners or where a will is, is a way).One comes in and receives one as first a pleasant light and a massive woodable. the ambiente knows to please immediately, warm, rustical though for my taste something to clink. Unfortunately, it has always been a bit cool at the table so that the pullover always remained.The Italian waitress made an intrusive attentive impression and you would like to see her when hosting the other tables. Overall, the restaurant is somewhat overpriced, but what is made by small gestures like a disc cricket as a starter on the house or the bonbon is re-established in the billy branch. because eating is very good. clearly defined taste without snorkel. I had both a very good and lush pizza (40 cm), but it was difficult to eat through the shaky wooden turntable with knife and fork.My accompaniment had a stone mushroom paste, even here full score despite a little bit of cream. We'll be back in any case, but then in a nice warm summer."

Our starters, tomato mozzarella salad and asparagus soup, were fresh and tasty, and so was the risotto with sliced beef and porcini. Drinks were all right as well. "Take trams 7, 8 or 15 from city center and get off at Angerbrücke for a 290 meter walk to Restaurant Olea or go on and pass Olea on left hand side and get off at Lindenauer Markt and walk back 240 m. I was on my way from the hotel to the city center in tram 7 when I saw the inviting candle light from restaurant Olea. I got curious so I got off at the next stop (Angerbrücke) and walked back. Quite a few people had chosen to dine at Olea and, that usually being a good sign, made me come in. Straight away a young woman got me the menu. The menu is quite extensive containing omelettes, salads, risotto, oven baked dishes, pasta, chicken, fish and rump steaks. I ordered pasta and couldn’t withstand to look at the dessert menu and found Schwedenbecher (Sweden cup) with ice cream, applesauce, whipped cream and eggnog if I recall correctly. Being Swedish and never heard of it I just had to try. The bill came to 19 EUR including a glass of wine, which I find very reasonable for a very good meal and friendly service with a smile. I just (9 Oct 2016) looked up their weekly menu and all items but one, roast veal, were priced under 10 EUR. If I were living in the area I’m sure I’d come here regularly. Do try restaurant Olea!"

"it rained at our first night in leipzig, so we decided to taste this restaurant as it was near our hotel. the menu was hard to understand, and while it was pictures they were so small and badly colored, they did not help. the appetizers of aubergine and mushrooms were oily and not very pleasant and the main courses were only bizarre. because of the unusual (for Greek restaurants) lacking vegetarian food I ordered what I suspect was macaroni cheese and my partner had moussaka. the makkaroni was penne pasta in a very thin and strange pink sauce with melted cheese on the top, and the moussaka was a square block of chop meat with a tomato (ish) sauce and some other veg with a 1cm layer of kartoffel on the top. on the plus side were the wee and the charalate very good and the waiters were polite, but that did not facilitate the disappointment."

"Lots of vegan options and they are really good. The peanut sauce in Seitan Sate has gone in it, which is a nice surprise. The Wantan Soup is really good and actually tastes like Wantan Soup! Finally! Pho Ha Noi Chay in Leipzig that is spicy and has fresh veggies on top! The broth is good too. The Tofu Curry is creamy and delicious. Steam Ramen has some really good and good sauces. Bun Chay Nam Bo is super packed with flavor! It comes with lots of sauce, which is kind of a spicy teriyaki salty sauce. It’s really good, though the sincean pieces were a bit chewy for me. Golden Garden is interesting and the herbs have a strong flavor. Many vegan options and those are very tasty. The peanut sauce in Seitan Sate has ingwer and it is a very nice surprise. The Wantan Soup is great it really tastes like Wantan soup! Finally, Pho Ha Noi Chay in Leipzig that is sharp and has fresh vegetables! The broth is also good. The Tofu Curry is creamy and tasty. Steam Ramen has some really interesting and good sauces. Bun Chay Nam Bo is super full of taste! It comes with many sauces that are sharp and salty and how teriyaki it is very good, obwol the pieces are a bit tough. Golden Garden is interesting and the herbs have a strong taste. "The place is, in my opinion, kind of awesome, I do really like it ! And I have to say that the day that we (me and my girlfriend) visit this restaurant, we also did like the other customers ! (indeed) There was such a good atmosphere ( a sunny sunday of july, at noon) Even if one of our host did not smile even one time (but still taking care of us).The choice of meal was interesting, my girfriend took the advised hamburger, which was thanks to her : amazing ! For me it was soja sausage with curry sauce. Drinks were interesing (in bottles), can't remember the name of if. The dessert was interesting also, (Millefeuille with rubarb) but not enough sweet for me, as a dessert. I did choose a hot chocolate to finish my meal : average. No, I have not been seduced. It was interesting (thrid time I do use this word) and I did like it but... no wow effect at all (except for the well decorated place) It was my first Vegan restaurant (well, Vegetarian with Vegan option), I was more seduced by the second one, and even more by the third one ! (let's hope it will continue this way !) I do mean that I can more and more do comparisons. We have even planned to visit a couple of Vegan Restaurants in the next weeks ! Last thing : about the price : 2 drinks, 2 main dishes, 1 dessert for two, 2 hot beverages = about 45 €. 22,50 each : affordable !I do remember the days that we were visiting conventionnal restaurants, and we were condisering that under 50 € it was cheap... (for 2), and it was rather rare to pay this kind of prices. Now, we are eating vegan, we are careful about what we eat, and especially about the proportions (for us it's often a cake for 2 now), the prices of our 3 first Vegetarian and/or Vegan restaurants were : 45€, 35€ and 22€ ! Isn't it nice ? :) That's why we'll can go twice more times to the restaurants ! :P"

"This is a very nice and clean restaurant with beautiful flower arrangements and you feel a sense of peace when being there, even though the kitchen is buzzing. The food is over-all very nice with fresh and tasty produces and on top of that, it is cheap for what you get. The staff was very nice and attentive, and the food came out in good time. There were a couple of things not being that perfect.In the vegetable tempura was deep-fried sweet potatoes, but it also contained schrimps! This is not OK, when you write it is vegetable tempura. I am just glad I don´t have seafood allergy.I ordered the beef dish, but it was nothing like the menu said. Instead of a balsamic sauce I got some mayonnaise sauce wich was not nice together with rice and did not fit the dish at all. There were also all sorts of things on the plate not going well together at all. Fresh tomatoes, very strong radish sprouts, pinapple, pak choi and this weird mayonnaise sauce.Despite these hiccups we enjoyed the experience very much and will definately come back very soon again. We even got a fish bowl to-go and brought home for our son. Even that was very nicely presented and my son loved it."

"Wie waren heute in diesem Restaurant und ich bin nicht begeistert. Freundliches Personal-ja aber sehr aufdringlich. Auf die Bitte hin meine Speise gern mit Gorgonzolasoße statt mit Metaxasoße, bekam ich von der Kellnerin die Antwort, dass das nicht ginge, weil sich die Soße schlecht dazu macht, aber ich hätte ja keine Ahnung davon! Ich denke nicht das man SO mit Gästen reden sollte, zumal ich selbst aus der Gastronomie bin! Lange Wartezeiten und dann war das Fleisch auch nicht frisch. Der Geschmack ähnelte einem aufgetautem Schnitzel. Aber man hat sich wenigstens entschuldigt und zugegeben das man vergessen hat sich das Dessert zu merken, welches beinahe vergessen wurde. Leider nicht zu empfehlen, hier muss definitiv am Service gearbeitet werden und der Koch sollte vorher die frische seiner Waren prüfen."

"Zum Mittagstisch bestellte ich knusprige Ente mit Gemüse und Reis. Diese Mal kann ich es nur in kurzen Worten sagen, denn jedes weitere Wort wäre eines zu viel - ich kenne einige Imbiss-Bracken, in denen das gleiche Gericht viel besser schmeckt. Absoluter Durchschnitt und kein wenig an Extravaganz, die ich erwartet hätte. Die Ente hatte einen seltsamen Geschmack und der Teller war voll mit den, schon als verdammt vermuteten eingelegten Dosenbambussprossen. So schmeckt Asien nicht. Extrem günstig war es auch nicht, daher keine Empfehlung. Ich bin leider extrem kritisch beim Essen, daher bewerte ich wirklich nur gute Speisen als wirklich gut. Alles fair und ehrlich. Deshalb hier gleich eine geschmackliche Empfehlung hinterher: im "Da Lat" auf der Könneritzstrasse könnt ihr euch auf eine fernöstliche Geschmacksreise begeben, dies zwar nur in einem kleinem Imbissrestaurant, aber wem der Geschmack mehr wert ist als Schi Schi...!"
