"Like so many properties in the city centre of Lübeck, these premises have also seen many different gastronomic facilities that could last more or less long, directly opposite the St. Petri church. However, since August 2017, the Asian Buddha Bowl restaurant has been steadfast. Since then, for me for lunch, I had the opportunity to make myself an impression of the restaurant The ambience is definitely something that most guests immediately notice positive when they first enter. With bamboo and partly depleted tables, the restaurant fits perfectly into the red brick optics of the opposite dome and at the same time sprays an East Asian flair. Inside view. At the later lunch time of my visit the restaurant was still very clear. The friendly, young service received me immediately with the menu and remained relaxed and friendly. Of course, I can't judge what this looks like in a strong use in the evening. The menu is also very pleasant from the usual “Asia cities”, because unlike the restaurant name, the offer is not concentrated on the dishes so popular today. Sushi belongs here to a main speciality, but also soups, salads and other East Asia main dishes are very interesting. During my first visit, the “Lotusstängel Salat” spoke to me with green cucumber, mint, sesame and peeled shrimps, which proved to be a good choice. „Lotusstängel Salat“ with green cucumber, mint, sesame and peeled shrimps. The iceberg salad, carrots and onions were added to the crisp and fresh vegetables. The lotus strain I've eaten here for the first time had a very interesting, slightly sweet taste. The whole was made with a sweet and at the same time spicy Vinaigrette and the fresh mint adjustment supplements. It was rounded off by the juicy garden shrimps. In my opinion, only the price of 9.9€ is quite competitive for such a very clear starter proportion, even if there was nothing to put in taste. During a second visit I ordered a part of Edamame on one side, as well as the very exciting Sushi Variation Hotategai with a scalop, avocado and tobiko above. Edamame. In the Edamame, of course, the kitchen can make something wrong. They are usually steamed and salted by the guest and thus form a crunchy Nasty, in which the profit margin is certainly not even small at 4.5€. In the Inside Out Sushi variant, the Sapphire Sushi was able to convince with freshness and pleasant bite resistance in terms of their product quality. Also the avocado was well ripened and added the shell the necessary part of creamy fatness. The Tobiko-Fishrogen still salted the role. Unfortunately, the sushi rolls were rolled quite loose, so some of the 8 pieces fell slightly apart. I also think you could have picked up more tastefully here if you had previously delivered the scalop with some typical roast notes. On the other hand, I found it pleasant that not only classic Gari ginger and Wasabi, but also a whole salad with Frisee, tomato and also the ginger, which was well tasted with an acidic sweet dressing. Here, too, 9.9€ for 8 pieces is a higher than usual price category, which can be justified in view of the shell used and the additional salad. Starting from my two visits, I can recommend the “Buddha Bowl” to anyone who runs for Asian cuisine that can offer a better quality than most Asian snacks. That you have to grab a little deeper into your pocket, but not only does it seem to be due to quality, but also to the location and ambience. ;"
