"My experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The bratkartoffeln I ordered was not triple roasted as I requested, and I only received two pieces of meat without any cream sauce. "Granddaughter's local ....... it seems to be the hub of the village very well attended. Read notice board and there seems to be lots to do. Sunday lunch was a good size, very well cooked and tasty plenty of gravy (asked for extra dessert was heavenly sticky toffee pudding and grandaughter had warm chocolate fudge cake, talk about being stuffed. Lovely food friendly staff, will return."

"First visit to this local restaurant and it was lovely. Staff all very welcoming, professional and helpful. Food was of an excellent standard and quality, we couldn't fault any of it. My husband and neice said that you didn't really need a knife for the beef as it was so tender. As she can be picky then that was indeed high praise from her. Presentation was lovely and the portion sizes were more than ample. Will definitely be returning. Well done to all at Zamani's."

"My family and I haven't been to the george in a while as our last visit was quite dissapointing. However, things seem to be back on track now, and the food was back to being tasty whilst not leaving you emptying your wallet. I had the steak and ale cobbler for a main and it was very tasty but the cobbler was really dry and took all the moisture out of the dish making it hard to finish sadly. My dessert was amazing though- ginger toffee pudding and icecream was so so good and such a good portion to. I was beaten by it! Service was friendly but I think more staff are needed as the bar was left empty alot as the people working served food or took orders. Also didn't ask for drinks when providing dessert menu despite our glasses being empty. I think the layouts odd too- the large table was put my more intimate seats so all the noise from a big party of people washed over us on our smaller one! Made it hard to hear. The ladies also need some tlc- cracked tiles, lamps with flys trapped in, and a toilet that had the remains of the last visitor- maybe need a cleaning rota put in? Just small touches now I think and they'll be perfect again!"

"Fantastic vegetarian lunch a couple of weeks ago. Wonderful service too. Going back today I only gave the low score for atmosphere because there was nobody in there but us. It's so good, at such a good price, I don't understand why its not packed at lunchtimes. A hidden gem indeed. "Dreadful place avoid it !! Rude chef who decided to engage in a tirade slagging off paying customers when asked if a slight change to a dish could be made (perfectly prepared to pay extra) dark dingy hole, needs a lesson in customer service . Doing so well on a Friday, only 2 customers in entire place and can afford to disrespect customers really ?!!! When this place goes to the wall they will have been the authors of their own misfortune. Arrogant and amateur Needs a visit from Gordon Ramsay. No clue! Despicable place !!"
