Bungalow Diner - Menu

Staff friendly and helpful. We had shakes and coffees which were good. Fun American diner decor complete with a jukebox playing tunes.

No atmosphere and really obvious the staff really did not want to be there. The food ok not the best but not the worst we have had. When you think American Diner you think smiles happy time... NOT HERE THO ....

We visited as a large group tonight for our daughters birthday and left very satisfied. The service was great, beautiful food that was served promptly and great value for money. Don’t think we could find a fault if we tried! Great little hidden gem and we will be visiting again very soon :

I really enjoy this restaurant. The service is great, the food is better than your average cafe, and the prices are fair. I was impressed when I heard one of the staff address an elderly customer as 'Sir' - a nice change from the usual 'Guy, mate, friend, etc.' that customers are often called. I have come back multiple times and have never been let down. Keep up the good work, Team Bungalow - I'll definitely be returning!

I went to this restaurant to celebrate my friend's son's birthday. We all ordered pizzas, or so we thought. What we received was a disaster. The toppings had been fried and the pizza tasted only of oil, it was truly terrible. We couldn't eat much of our food because of it. We didn't bother to complain because if the chef (using that term loosely) fries pizza toppings, they clearly can't cook. I will never return to this restaurant! Stay away!

Four of us went in for breakfast opting for the £8.95 Bungalow Breakfast, ordering 3 teas 1 coffee… The coffee was really weak watery… The breakfasts didn’t all arrive at the same time and to say they were no better than average would be a kind remark. The sausages were deep fried, and the eggs were so hard and hardly any white was really strange. Service was ok but not great considering there were not that many in the place.. Would we visit again? Probably not…

A co-worker recommended this restaurant to me and I decided to give it a try. I have been there twice now and both times the service was extremely slow, despite the restaurant not being busy. The food took about 20 to 30 minutes to arrive, which was disappointing. The interior of the restaurant has an American vibe and I enjoyed the music. However, the service was lacking and the prices were not cheap. Overall, it is a nice diner but they definitely need to improve their service.

Oh boy. Stopped here for breakfast with a friend before a day out. What can I tell you about the food? It's alright pretty standard fare. Nothing special. They ask you to fill in your vehicle's details on the I pad device on the counter as it's a private car park. I did exactly as I was asked. 4 days later, I got a ticket for £100 £60 if paid in 14 days. Thankfully I was able to contest this, and it's taken nearly 7 weeks for them to cancel it. A disgraceful experience. Certainly not somewhere that I will return to.

Where do I start. The most ridiculous cafe I’ve ever been to. I attended this place today as was in Colchester for a business meeting. On arrival and viewing the menu, I initially thought “this looks ok”. I was with a good friend, who admittedly is a creature of habit. He only eats beans on toast with a side of bacon. I ordered standard breakfast (no deviations). So far, so good. Can my mate have beans on toast please i asked. The waitress said no this can’t be done the chef, (I use the word chef loosely) won’t do it.
