"The cafe is a nice addition to the Bicester area, and is a little quieter than other nearby cafes. A good place for coffee and cake cakes are a little average, but are fresh and have plenty of gluten free options. The service can be very slow depending on the staff. It is frustrating that, despite being a small cafe, the staff put 'reserved ' signs on the tables furthest from the counter after lunch to stop people sitting there. While we were in the cafe some new customers asked what time they were reserved for, and were actually turned away because the staff would not open those tables (rest of the cafe was full)."

Always nice fresh and tasty food from gorgeous salads to toasties and burgers with friendly service. Great place to visit to browse antiques then a bit of lunch.

A lovely venue nestled inside an antique shop. Friendly staff and excellent food combine to make for a brilliant experience, we go back time and time again and it never disappoints. Well worth a visit. Visualizza piatti

Super food and staff. Above all, the large room with plenty of table space and nice décor, the chance to browse the antiques for sale as you wait for your order, makes this a very pleasant experience. A terrific place to visit and one which I will be repeating.

Lovely setting , good service . Ordered a ploughmans but got a sourdoughi roll with grated cheese and pickle . and a little bit of lettuce with too much vinaigrette dressing on Not what I expected . No choice of breads other than sourdough. Found it a bit heavy .

I was lucky enough to be taken to The Old Flight House recently for Afternoon Tea by a friend. It is such a lovely place, a real Aladdin's cave of antiques or every nature and to top that, a wonderful café. I have since taken family members a number of times for lunch as could not wait to show them. It is now a firm favourite place. Highly recommended. Visualizza piatti

What a find! What a revelation! The owners, Sally and her husband, have created THE most exceptional restaurant interior design antiques oasis! The exquisite decor both elegant and shabby chic, the food nothing less than 5* dining and the ambience simply sublime. The staff are warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. This is an absolute must if you are looking for something extraordinarily unique. We will be coming back and most definitely spreading the word.

A favourite haunt of mine as the staff are lovely and the food is great. A lot of choice and always of a high standard. Can get busy no matter what day so go with this in mind. Always antiques to look at if you have to wait. Very limited car parking. Good for disabled as you can get in and out without any issues at the front of the building and also all the way round the antiques which are always fun to nosey round. Great place if the weather is abit dull and wet. Not really ideal for young children but they are welcome

"Sadly not quite up to expectations. We were seated promptly on arrival and our order was taken quickly. The food that was served was of a good standard. However there were a few things throughout the meal that let the side down slightly. I ordered the bread and houmous for starter, when it arrived there was no houmous. When I questioned this I was told they didn't have any left, the waitress asked what I would like instead not a question I can answer with out being given a list of options! When we asked her to find out she came back from the kitchen saying there was no alternative, would I like some butter. Had I known all of this before ordering I would have chosen something other than bread and butter. Another member of our party who arrived after the initial group ordered a lime and soda to drink but was served what tasted like a lemonade instead, when this was questioned she was told it was the lime and soda she asked for, yet it tasted very different to the lime and soda ordered by another member of the group... When it came to dessert, it was asked if the sticky toffee pudding came with ice cream as it wasn't mentioned on the menu, we were told it did. However when the desserts arrived there was no ice cream, when we queried this we were each given a small ramekin containing one scoop of chocolate ice cream, a little bit of an odd combination with sticky toffee pudding and a shame not to have had it all on the same plate. Finally, as much as we love dogs, having them constantly run under the table around our feet wasn't ideal for a sunday lunch time. It's a shame the service and attention to detail wasn't quite up to scratch as the majority of the food could not be faulted at all and they catered well for the various dietary requirements of the group."

"I’m frustrated and annoyed with booking a romantic meal for our year wedding anniversary, with the current pandemic and work commitments it made a change to make an effort and be excited to visit the boxing hare as the reviews had been excellent. We...were seated in the garden room, next to a family who were on first name terms with the waiting staff and who were so loud I thought I was at a Chelsea match! We received complimentary glasses of champagne and we placed our order for starters and main which were excellent however I felt rushed with the service, as much as I tried to have a conversation all I could hear was this family at decibels to which enough was enough usually I would say something, however rather than ruin there evening I asked for us to be reseated to which the waiting staff were in agreement that they were loud! So why place us next to them? We were given a table in a different part of the pub still busy with other diners giving respect to one another. The table given I was advised I had as it was reserved? I placed dessert order and two lattes with baileys followed by the bill! The bill was a tad on the steep side for a gastro pub perhaps the prices are based on the price of fuel to fill the owners Bentley Overall felt it was a rushed evening disappointed with the seating arrangements,I won’t be returning as I felt what was important to us wasn’t important to the Boxing Hare I’ve had better evenings at The Falkland Arms Great Tew, The Great Western Aynho"
