Cafe du Centre - Piatti

A typical French bar, but with excellent food. Lots of English around, but lots of French too. Everyone goes. The centre of town.

Extremely friendly staff, made very welcome. Food typical French village restaurant. Do ensure you sit outside in the pretty square

Staying locally, we visited this on a few occasions, mainly for coffee or a beer. One night we dined and had a wonderful meal. The choice was good and service excellent. All the food was to a top standard. Would thoroughly recommend if you are in the area.

We arrived at 1215 but were still welcome for lunch. Poached salmon, Croque Madame and fishcakes, all delicious. We asked for the ham to be removed from the Croque and we're told it couldn't be, but we picked it out ourselves perfectly easily. Good service otherwise.

Never disappointed when visiting here. An early reservation is recommended to ensure a table outside where you can watch the world go by whilst enjoying a long and leisurely lunch. Three course - two and half hours, absolute bliss. Food is excellent, good value and well presented by a very efficient and pleasant staff.

Popped by for lunch on a Monday, surprisingly quite full and mainly with English people. It may actually be English owned? The staff are very friendly and attentive, I opted for the menu de jour all of which was perfectly delicious. For a village restaurant it is typical unassuming with hints of excellence. A beautiful and tranquil location, I could happily lose an afternoon here with friends and vow to return and do just that!

I have been effuse in my praise for Cafe du Centre in the past.AND WOULD STRESS THAT THE WAIT STAFF WAS EXCELLENT.The chef is the same one that created a stunning birthday meal for me a while ago, and was great for the party of six in a subsequent year.This year we turned up, it was almost empty and we asked the waitress if it was possible to do something for vegetarians that did not want the ubiquitous Chevre Tart and Salad.She said 'perhaps an omlette' and we said yes please with chips, if possible.
