Service was very good here and Mexican food was surprisingly authentic I understand why it is rated as the number one Mexican restaurant in Cologne I would definitely return to this restaurant food was very good as well close to the Exhibition Center

Mixed Fajita was decent but for the price you can find way better elsewhere. But I suppose the most disapointing part of my visit was this pathetic drink they tried to call a Margarita. I just don't know how you can be a Mexican restaurant and not have a decent margarita. Food is decent but over priced.

Was there with my wife . They have lovely beer collection and huge Mexican menu the food tastes good the staff is friendly don't miss the salsa the food is spicy but Mexican has be spicy being an indian felt food similar close to home . Went with colleagues after work. Menu is what you'd expect - similar ingredients presented in a different way. Food was ok but nothing special - all a bit smothered by refried beans.There is an outside area on two sides with a view over the surrounding roads - you can see the cathedral spires in the distance.Service was very good - always attentive

I had dinner with a co-worker at about 6 PM during weekdays. The place was already full, but they have convenient bar-tables where we could stay until a regular table was ready. The food was tasty (we had chimichanga, tacos, shrimps and beans paste) and the staff helped me to organize a surprise birthday-cake with candle for my friend who had his anniversary.

We were going to go elsewhere but the place was not open on mondays and just stumbled on this place ,thought it looked pretty busy and would be worth a try....the staff could not do anymore to help although we speak no german...we had a very good meal as recommended from the specials by our server and the red wine was very good too...Glad we found our way there. Decent quality Mexican food in a nice space with large outdoor dining area. I know I am spoiled by the ubiquitousness of Mexican restaurants in the USA where burritos are $8 or less but it was a shock to see Cafe Especial asking $16-17 for burritos, even $8 for an appetizer of beans and guacamole. The food was good but overpriced. Service typical German grim efficiency.

We were given this recommendation by our hotel and we extremely happy we followed it. I knew it was going to be good just by the Mexican beer selection. The chips and salsa were great to start with. I had the "Degustation de Pacifico" which was awesome. The beef chili bowl was spicy and good and the beef tacos were packed full of beef. The enchilada was tasty and came with real guacamole and fried beans. My wife had the "Tacos California" and loved them. There was so much food that we didn't get dessert. The staff were extremely friendly and unlike many restaurants, we did not have to wait for 30+ minutes to receive our food. For the several reviews that said this was not good, do not listen...

Not the best experience. I love good Mexican Food from all regions. Even when eating Mexican food in the middle of Germany, it is hard to mess it up, it's really not the difficult.. tortilla, meat, cheese and seasoning, maybe some veggies if your feeling spry. So, my boyfriend orders for us, he speaks fluent German, he ordered my margarita, which was flavorless and came blended €8.50 .. FAIL. He ordered a Fernet and coke, which advertised as €3. The coke was flat... FAIL. We ordered a quesadilla to start which had barely any cheese and lacked flavor...
