"My friends and I decided on Josefina's after reading a short article recommending it to those of us forced to keep a gluten-free diet. We arrived there and had to wait for an outside table to free up that would accommodate the three of us...and our dog, Hugo. Not an issue. The real issue came when the rather surly owner came to get take our order. The exchange happened as follows: Friend One: I'll take a croissant and marmalade, please Friend Two: I'll have the omelette, please Me: I'll have the Josefina Teller with gluten-free bread, please Owner, presumably Josefina: We don't have gluten-free bread Me: Oh, alright! I guess just an omelette Owner, to Friend One: The croissant isn't gluten-free Me: He's not gluten-free! I am She turned abruptly and went inside. We were then served one croissant with marmalade and two omelettes with bread. I looked at my plate before very politely saying, I'm sorry, but I can't eat this The owner asks why and I tell her that I'm allergic. She then proceeds to touch my food to pick the pieces of bread up, off my plate. She tells me to eat because, and I quote, the bread only touched it for seconds I politely decline and tell her again that I am very allergic and we made it very clear I couldn't eat regular bread. The owner then threatened us and told us that she would remake the omelette, but that I had to pay an extra euros for the redone omelette. I really suspect that had we not been with a German mate of ours, the unpleasant exchange would've continued. Ultimately I was unwillingly served a new omelette, without bread, that hadn't been mauled by the owner's unwashed hands. I really would not recommend this place to anyone- the service was horrific and unhygienic and the food wasn't particularly special. I felt a bit sad shelling out euros for a puny omelette, I imagine I would've been significantly more put out' if I had to pay euros for one."
