"Once upon a time, a visit to France could start or end with a fine meal at a restaurant at the airport. Not so easy these days, Charles DeGaulle Airport is a gastronomic desert. Les Saisons Restaurant just above the railway station at Terminal a case in point but only one of the many symptoms of terminal decline. We often change planes at CDG and have an hour or two to enjoy whatever pleasures there are around the airport. Les Saisons used to be one of the few places where you might have a civilized unhurried meal. The food is still pretty good, but the service is very bad and standards have slipped dramatically. In my view this is not due to the staff but the management. Some examples from today’s encounter. It is Sunday and we arrive on our train shortly after pm. Service on the patio is closing down, we ask for a table and are told to go around to the main dining room entrance where we wait for minutes. We are shown to our table and left for minutes to look around. Lighting in the dining room is poor but the signs of decay are evident. The veneer has peeled from the wooden cabinets below the buffet tables, there are stains on the carpets, recovered bread baskets are roughly stacked. A waiter brings us three bread rolls, on the side of the bread basket a wad of chewing gum has been squashed. I point this out to a member of staff, she apologizes takes the basket away and then brings the same basket back with the chewing gum removed but it is the same basket and the same number of rolls. The meal followed and the food was expensive but good, the wine exorbitant as usual but good. High prices require high standards and this restaurant did not provide them."

Called in pre flight for a late lunch. We both had the club Sandwich and frites with a glass of red wine. Euros. Food was good, service fine.

Très bon accueil et serve attentionné , plats parfaits et goûteux, tout est très frais. A découvrir, moment de pose au calme sans le brouhaha de l’aéroport.

Finally a real restaurant in the middle of all these fast foods! Appreciable to take a real lunch break while waiting for his flight. The cuisine is tasty and the dishes are very well presented.

I had an incredible meal and wonderful wine here. If you want a fantastic French dining experience but don't want to or can't take a min train into Paris this is the place to go. You will have dining experience that you will not...forget.

I am not sure this restaurant was in france. I had a steak tartare, which was clearly not made in house, and dry fries, which, weirdly had all the same shape and size.... I was expecting more of a star hotel. This was my...last meal in France, and also the worst. Sad

Food and service were first class. Delicious smoked salmon starter, with a good Chablis to accompany. Main of daily special Duck accompanied with Parisian mashed potato. Absolutely beautiful. Quality accompanying bread too, which meant there was no room for dessert. Good quality claret to wash...it down. Bravo!

One star is actually too many. Horrible service. For an airport restaurant and at the Sheraton Hotel specially, I would have expected at least one person could speak decent English. For dinner brought me only part of my order (forgot rice that came with the...meal), then when asked if the menu has changed, I got my rice after I finish the rest of the dinner. I guess they expected for me to eat the rice all by itself. When I have told them I don’t need it anymore they insisted to put it on my table just so I can be charged the full amount for the meal. Tried again to have breakfast there in the morning, and after good min of waiting I have finally called someone to attend my table. Waitress t...

while staying at the Sheraton hotel, I preferred to go to the restaurant, because I do not like the crowd of the airport breweries. the reception is correct, the frame is a little dated, but the tables are spaced and the sanitary protection measures are ensured with rigor. The staff seems a little cool why not, I have all my time. the service is a little disorganized, but things settle pretty fast. the map is according to the leader, that of a resumption of recent activities after a forced closure. the setting of the restaurant is modern, but comfortable with tables spaced, good quality colored and towel in fabrics classic entries salad composed , dishes of charcuterie , smoked salmon are be...

"We have been in France for almost 9 weeks (5 1/2 in Paris, 1 in Nice and 2+ in Provence). Tonight was our last night, spent at an airport hotel, and we went to this place in the village. Unfortunately, the experience was not atypical of many dining experiences we have had in France. I have heard all the explanations and the excuses and I don't care -- bad service is bad service and rude is rude. We have had several very good experiences with service in France, but more often they have been marginal or, like tonight, outright bad. We were given menus and a drink and then waited almost 20 minutes before my wife got up and chased down the waiter (attention owner: he is a thin fellow in his forties), who finally took our order. Despite her asking the waiter several times whether the place could actually cook her steak medium rare (something the French are singularly and consistently unable to do) and despite being assured that they could, the steak came back medium --medium well. No apology from the waiter of course when he saw that it was not cooked properly. But then he also (as is not uncommon) never asked us how our meals were, and never brought us bread or water (which is uncommon). We ordered a second drink apiece, which the waiter apparently forgot about, as he went to three other tables after our order and brought drinks to them. My wife finally got up, went inside and asked him for le addition (we have learned to do this after countless experiences where we tell the waiter that we are finished and we wait forever for the bill, despite sitting at the table and tapping the credit cad against the table and not being engaged in any conversation) and told him to forget about the drinks (which he already had, anyway). His response was that it was busy (not very much). Again, no apology. We love France and have had some great experiences at restaurants, but this place exhibited the typical French attitude. Despite what you may have heard, the typical French waiter at the average restaurant or bistro (I am not talking about a fine restaurant) not only has a nonchalant or standoffish attitude but also does not know much about how the food is prepared and has no sense of professionalism. Americans need to get over the fear of being perceived as aggressive or demanding and call a spade a spade -- bad service is bad service wherever it happens and should not be tolerated. If you are in Europe and you get good service tip appropriately and when you get bad service let the waiter and anyone you see in charge know what you think."
