"Decided to try here as we were stopping at the Holiday Inn Express. Was surprised to see such a big bar area and a bit disappointed that there were numerous TV screens placed around it all showing football. Whilst this isn't advertised as a Sports Bar , it clearly is which means our table conversation had to compete with the TVs and the cheering guests at times. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't very busy and our orders were taken quickly and efficiently by very friendly staff. None of us were disappointed with our food but neither was anyone over the moon; it was just alright. There is an interesting selection of food on offer with a bias towards spicy and the katsu curry seemed a popular choice. We were a bit taken aback by the 10% service charge even though it was discretionary so beware. The staff were very polite and attentive but this may be because they weren't very busy so we'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Overall, this was not an unpleasant experience but I doubt we'll be returning."

After being scammed on football tickets we found Lime and they were showing the football on Sunday. Nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices for drinks. Very happy we found this place!

First visit-went Sunday afternoon prior to concert at nearby theatre-friendly warm welcome by professional staff-food of good quality and well served. Added bonus was live music at the venue-great if you liked 1960's music.

Great visit. Visited here as had word on fellow Toon Fans being here. We opted for some food aswell as drinks after a long drive. Slight issue with our order was remedied in 3 minutes. Food was amazing as was service. With thanks to Naomi. Visualizza piatti

Came a few months ago, found it hit and miss mine good, husband's less so. Tonight I was pretty boring and had the same dish and I found it really bland an uninspiring. Staff once again lovely and will do anything for you bit sadly I'm not in a rush to head back.

Booked Lime because of its 1 minute walking proximity to the Lowry. We came with modest expectations (of a run of the mill experience) departed happy! Food was absolutely fine for the price, the menu an array of easy to roll out, crowd pleaser dishes. The wine offer was good, their South African Shiraz a particular favourite. The outstanding element of our visit was the superb service. The greeting service was faultless, with staff alert, attentive friendly throughout our meal.

I wanted to leave a positive review because the staff were so helpful for us in a slightly tricky situation. We were hoping to eat before going to a play at the Lowry, but arrived late and were in a tremendous hurry. The staff were brilliant super friendly, understanding, and they served us quickly, with great, hot, healthy food. Even though it was a Friday night in the run up to Christmas and they had large groups in they still looked after us really well. Thanks to all, and highly recommend! Visualizza piatti

We chose it as it was close to The Lowry and we were going there. I booked in advance although I needn't have as it was quite quiet. We had a lovely table, good service with the menu choices and the food was good. The issue came with the bill as they had charged us for a wine we had not ordered and the cocktail was charged at full price and not as specified on the menu (half-price at that time of day). The bill was rectified but it should not have happened. I might add that both the ladies and the gents loos are in need of refurbishment. Cracked seats and more........

Pre Theatre for the Lowry on a Saturday night unfortunately Old Trafford had just kicked out, I've never eaten somewhere where there are secutity guards on the door before, so that was a new one on me. Similarly, I've never had my dinner to Eminem cursing ever before, let alone at high volume and surrounded by TV screens showing Sky Sports football, in every direction. Weird venue, but nice staff who looked like they were trying their best. Husband's food (simple meatballs and spaghetti) was bland and on the borderline of completely inedible. I fared much better on the asian part of the menu. We are willing to try it again, but hubby reckons he'll try sticking to the asian cuisine side of th...

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
