"I enjoyed my evening and overall the food was nice and the staff were friendly. However, I order the cheese platter specifically because it had Blacksticks Blue cheese as I'd never had it before. When I asked the waiter he said it was stilton. If that was stilton I wasn't even sure that the other cheese was what it was supposed to be Black Bomber, a Welsh cheddar as the black rind had been cut off. It didn't have any particular taste. I ate it anyway as I wanted a desert to end the meal. When I paid the bill I said that I was disappointed about the cheese and got a very blank expression back. The waiter was lovely but I don't think he understands how important a good cheese board is. In addition the celery was wilted and the grapes weren't fresh (I have a photo)."

The service and staff were very friendly but the kitchen ran out of a few of the dishes and by dessert there was only ice cream left which was disappointing.

The restaurant has a lovely ambience and the food is very tasty and well presented. The service was a bit slow although the staff were friendly and probably just a bit short staffed on the night.

The staff was very attentive. The bar manager was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Great food and super service fantastic restaurant. This is our second time here and will be definatley back.

After coming here last November, I feel worse. The staff were slow... things were not on the menu. At the bar there was not even lime or straw offered with gin! A general air, not to understand what was needed. The coffee is also terrible from the machines.

It was my husbands 75th birthday and I requested a nice table. When I checked in at reception as I’d booked 2 night stay, I was informed I would have a window table. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were informed all the window tables were taken. We were offered a booth but, as they had a table for 18 people next to the booth, we declined. We took a table for 2 in the middle of the restaurant. I was not impressed.
