We enjoyed a very nice meal at this restaurant typically tuscan, the portions were very large (I couldn't finish my main course), but very meat based not the place to visit if you're vegetarian or pescatarian!

Questo posto è semplicemente fantastico. Abbiamo potuto prenotare online. Il personale è stato super cordiale. La bistecca fiorentina era una delle migliori della regione. Insomma: andate a visitare. È un locale piccolo ma pieno di fascino e ottimo cibo e vino.

We rented a villa in Piazzano for 6 weeks and frequented this restaurant (5 times). The amount of Truffle in the Raviolli and the sharing platter is amazing. A lovely local family run restaurant with exceptional food. Highly recommend. House wine also very good.

Meraviglioso posto sulle colline di Short. Camere pulite, tranquille, dotate di tutto l'essenziale e arredate in stile locale. Colazione arricchita da dolci fatti in casa e dalla gentilezza dei proprietari. Grande giardino e ampio parcheggio esterno. Consigliato!

Nice venue a few km away from Cortona in the valley. Looked welcoming and charming on arrival. Front of house staff a bit abrupt and disappeared leaving us stranded. Felt uncomfortable. Finally found our way into an undercover outdoor eating area. Nice table in the corner. Very popular place with lots of locals. Food and wine very good, tasty and well presented. If they had been more attentive on arrival we would have given 5*. Will revisit.

Siamo arrivati senza prenotazione alle 20 del sabato sera e ci hanno mostrato un tavolo coperto all'aperto che era molto piacevole. La scelta degli antipasti e del primo piatto aveva una buona varietà di opzioni senza carne. I piatti principali sono per lo più a base di carne, abbiamo mangiato pollo al limone o con salsa al pepe verde che era delizioso. Vino della casa decente a €10 ala bottiglia. Servizio molto buono. Prezzi ragionevoli e ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.

The menu offers local specialities. The portion sizes were very large and we found we were unable to finish our delicious meals. We had the cheese platter, black Tuscan toast and Capaccio for starters followed by the gnocchi with meat sauce, hamburger, pici with rabbit sauce and the vitello tonnato all were delicious. The house white wine was great and at €10 a bargain. Would highly recommend this restaurant and if we had time we would certainly visit again. We booked via “the fork”and were given a 20% discount of the meals and drinks this discounters automatically applied and we didn’t have to ask for it.

Viaggio per lavoro e dormire in un hotel e/o mangiare in un ristorante è normale per me. Detto questo, difficilmente mi sono trovato in una situazione simile. Ci sono stati serviti piatti di carne che non avrei nemmeno offerto al mio cane: Cinghiale in civet (a mio parere, chi lo ha cucinato non sa nemmeno cosa sia il civet) cattivo, accompagnato da olive nere snocciolate (sicuramente in scatola o in un sacchetto del supermercato) gettate sul piatto per decorare ciò che è sconosciuto. Bistecca tagliata con pepe verde, in un brodo di acqua, dal sapore amaro a causa delle bruciature sulla carne, inflitte dalla griglia di cottura. Insomma, un vero disgusto!!! I visited this restaurant with my husband as it was close by. It’s situated in a small village and you enter the restaurant from the car park via the beautiful garden and lawn. We were shown into an area which was open but undercover. I ordered a starter of courgettes that were very thinly sliced and covered in an olive oil and balsamic vinegar and flavoured with thyme and basil. It was enormous but so good. My husband ordered the salad which again was substantial. We both ordered fillet steak, mine was with truffle and my husband’s came with a mustard and green pepper sauce.
