"Kaysersberg is a hidden gem in the Alsace region and is strongly recommended if you are visiting the area. We visited the region during the Christmas season and we were lucky enough to have lunch at the Caveau du Schlossberg. The restaurant is warm and welcoming, there is a bar type/Bistrot on the ground floor and an "a la carte" restaurant located in the basement that servea tradutional Alsacian food. The dishes are tasty with generous servings. We have also had great house wines (red and white) from the town wineries. We were 7 guests and we enjoyed our time greatly. The service was fast and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We had an excellent waiter, Francis (dit "Bruce" for resembling Bruce Willis). Francis (Bruce) was a joy to talk to and made our lunch a time to remember. He also sang a beautiful French birthday song for my wife who happened that her birthday wad on the day ..... Quel beau bébé est né ce jour là.... :)Such an excellent example of perfect customer service. Thank you Bruce and hope to see you again soon. Kisses from everyone in the group. The menu prices are acceptable for the size and the taste of the serving.Hope this helps"

Arrived on a Sunday at 12:30. Of course there was no room outside, in the loud area. Instead, they offered us a table downstairs which turned out to be quiet and nice. Food was good and service friendly.

Our group dropped in here for tarte flame and a few drinks. It is one of the few places that still serve after 9:30 at night. Simple authentic food and reasonably priced drinks. Service is fast without much fuss. Great place to just sit in the twilight, and sip beer or wine till late. Visualizza piatti

This town has many super looking restaurants but this one was a good choice. The local food is excellent and the staff attentive. We ate the local flan and stew, washed down with a wonderful local Riesling. The pudding was good too. The bill came to just under £100 for 4 of us, which was very good value.

Lovely venue downstairs in a sort of crypt type area. As you can see from the photos the food was both amazing, good value and very reasonably priced. I would visit Kaysersberg just to go to the restaurant again. My husband had the local charcuterie dish and loved it, as did our french friend. Apparently, the dish is local to the area.

This was our second choice, but we were not disappointed and it is considerably cheaper than our first choice would have been, so pleased about that.We thought the radiant would be very touristy, but the staff are pleasant, the food tasty and reasonably priced. The head waiter was excellent, as was his grasp of French, German and English. Would happily frequent this restaurant again. 4.5 stars would be a fairer assessment. Visualizza piatti

We were visiting friends who were staying at the local campground and they wanted us to have an authentic Alsatien meal. They had scoped out the restaurants in Kayserberg to find the best Baeckeoffe - a "stew" where the farm women from a simpler time would prepare the meal and take to a baker where the food that was put in a clay pot would bake all day. It had three different kinds of meat that had been soaked in Reisling along with potatoes, carrots and spices. It was excellent and we all enjoyed it along with a lovely local wine. The meal for the four of us was 80 Euros; very reasonable. The atmosphere and the service was very good.

We were so hungry, arriving in Kaysersberg, that we picked Caveau du Schlossberg almost at random, thinking it must be good given the number of people seated at the outdoor tables. Having secured one of the last lunch tables available outside, we perused the menu (only in French and German), and were assisted by very welcoming and helpful staff in my poor French and their poor English. We picked on a superb linguine with langoustines and prawns, and a delectable veal wrapped in cheese, and were very impressed with the quality, freshness, preparation and presentation. Not cheap by any means, but good value for money, and better than one might expect from the rather casual appearance of the pl...

"L'Alchemille is a 1 star Michelin restaurant located in the Alsatian village of Kaysersberg. The menu here is a surprise, you just get to choose between 5, 7 or 9 course. The chef will gives what what he wants, what's fresh that time in his garden, and what he feels like cooking. I like the element of surprise so it wasn't an issue. Before you're asked if there are any ingredients you don't eat, or if you have any allergies,Service is good, not so much fluent in English but in a way or another you get to communicate. Wine list is good and includes wines for everyone's budget, somellier is more towards selling expensive wines, but he knows his job.Dinner kicked off with a bottle of Cremant,a nicely presented amouse bouche and fresh bread, It then followed with a variety of dishes which included potato mousse, beef tomato with basil snow. deer tartare, salmon, mustard zabaion, pigeon leg, munster and 2 desserts. The star of the night was the beef tomato with herbs and basil snow, followed by the pigeon with glazed peas, carrot puree and pigeon juice. To finish off we were given some petit fours, not bad but it can be improved. We later had a chat with chef Jerome Jaegle who surely has a passion for what he does, and no wonder he was awarded a Michelin star, his creativity on a daily basis is something few can do and maintain such a standard.Total came to around €130 including mid priced wine, 9 course is reasonably priced at €78.If you're in the area, it's a place you'd love to visit. I'll be back."
