Chez Agnes - Menu

We have been here a few times, its a set menu for a reasonable price, and the food is amazing. Agnes and her family are very welcoming !!!

Food was excellent and so reasonable. We misunderstood the filet mignon and ended up with braised pork which was delicious. Will definitely return again!!

We have been to Chez Agnes several times with family and friends. On each occasion we have enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff.

A local village restaurant serving one of the best plat de jour in the area, booking advised, food delicious, excellent selection, cooked on huge indoor fire. Be prepared to mingle with the locals on their lunch break.

Have lunched here a few times in a large group. Cold starter (choice of several pre-plated dishes), hot starter (ditto), plat (several choices always including excellent steaks cooked over wood fire in restaurant), cheese and choice of deserts. Loads of wine and cider, coffee to...finish. What’s not to like?

Good value lunch at Euro complete. And I do mean complete! Cold starter followed by homemade hot starter, main course cheese and desert plus coffee and as much red wine or cider as you would like. Main course more hearty than finesse, can also...choose to have a grill cooked on the open fire. Please note this place only opens for lunch.

This is a Locals and Workers restaurant, where everything is freshly cooked on an open fire griddle. Euros for lunch, with a bottle of wine (each) and coffee. We had entrecote steak cooked to our liking, although my wife had to have hers...cooked a bit more, but this was no trouble for them. Mde. Agnes is a very cheerful host and her staff are only too pleased to help. Not certain if English is spoken there as we were with a French-speaking couple. Lunches only.

Recommended by the owners of a gite we were staying in as being the place for lunch, advising booking which we did. Chez Agnes is ONLY open at lunchtimes. Two set menus, we chose the euro. two starters, main course, cheese board, desert, bottle...of red wine and coffee! Choice of starters and deserts and choice of two mains.The menu changes daily so you could be tempted to return within the week! A wonderful experience. A little English spoken but we prefer to speak French.Excellent value for money thoroughly recommend you visit to enjoy typical French food.
