"Nous adorons la cuisine indienne,mais les restaurants habituels des coins de rues parisiennes soignent le décor et souffrent d'une cuisine formatée. Encore un effort et ils se rapprocheront du style des restos jap' tenus par leurs "amis" chinois.. insipides et sans surprise. Le quartier Louis Blanc a repris le flambeau du curry délicat précédemment conquis par le Passage Brady, maintenant trop occupé à servir le touriste du Passage Brady,et en plus là bas on pakistanise Monsieur ! plus d'indien !!Alors rue Cail, voilà l'inde, on y mange parfois avec les doigts et les menus peuvent frôler encore, les 5€ !C'est vrai qu'il faut choisir... Le début de la rue se touristise, et plus on s'éloigne du Faubourg Saint-Denis, plus on a des chances ou des risques, de se retrouver dans du local fait maison un peu limite...Le Gandhi est au milieu et les commentaires qui se mêlent sur cette page reflètent assez cette hésitation entre le resto qui a compris qu'il avait une carte à jouer en servant de la bonne nourriture et le petit resto limite cradingue à destination de ses habitués...Dèjà, je dénonce le patron qui trône derrière son bar et laisse la jeune dame souriante mais parfois un peu haletante, tracer entre les tables.Je vote pour son amabilité, et sa volonté de bien faire, la carte qu'elle nous laisse est simple abordable et si on connait un peu on a du bon en plein dedans, Nous recommandons le Talli Viande, pour une douzaine d'euros des petits plats, du riz des legumes, de la soupe et un curry que nous recommandons de demander "Hot Hot" en buvant une Lion fraiche au verre noir.Bref un repas complet et varié et pour avoir testé les bouisbouis et les plus delicats de l'inde authentique qui nous laisse le ventre en bon etat !!Dejà trois visites et nous sommes toujours là prêt à en découdre avec ses saveurs pimentées !!"

This was an excellent dining experience Perfectly spiced tandori, daal and vindaloo. My wife enjoyed this Indian cuisine very much and the King Fisher beer was a real treat.

Very nice restaurant, well furnished and tables with real table cloths. Average to good Indian food, not very far from the major stores in Boulevard Haussman. Enjoyable dinner

Abbiamo mangiato in questo ristorante perché da fuori sembrava carino, molto tipico ed originale menú vario e qualita' buona. Ottimo tikka masala di agnello e mix grigliato.. Riso basmati e pane Nan( al formaggio veramente buono)..birra e dolci..68 € in due ma strapieni

Du poulet avec pleins de cartilages et mal cuit, un curry insipide (ce qui parait impossible pour un curry!), un service pas du tout friendly, des plats qui arrivent froids et pas ensembles, finalement un addition plutôt chargée, il n'y avait presque personne et je comprend pourquoi! Je ne recommande vraiment pas, surtout que le dishny au coin de la rue est bien mieux pour moins chère!

Being vegetarian, My husband and I are always looking for places where we can eat out and we have tried some Indian restaurants in Paris. We went to Chez Gandhi with another vegetarian friend I must say we loved everything we ordered: the lentils, the curry spinach, the curry chickpea, the vegetarian biyarany rice and the bread. It was delicious and we were happy to have many options to choose from.It´s true that the service is not the best, because they don't come very often to see if you need something else, but I would go again because the food is great!

We chose to eat here instead of yugraj. The interiors were warm and nice. We are vegetarians and teetotallers. We had a very satisfying and tasty meal here. We ordered for the main course (parathas, mushroom curry, daal tadka). Just 23 euros.The owner was very courteous and we spoke in hindi. He spoke of his entire story. Was courteous to ask us for onion salad, pickles and papad. We had requested him to make food spicy and my wife loved the food. The plain parathas were very large in size. 3 large parathas were good enough for both of us. Papad was complimentary. I would definitely love to eat here again on my next visit.

This little restaurant tucked away behind the door was a carved wooden delight. The restaurant was decorated wonderfully and food fantastic and abundant as well as very well priced. After eating at the usual haunts around this area we opted for something different as was not too phased on the local food. We are so glad to have found this place as it was one of the better meals we had during our 3 weeks away. We ordered the rogan josh lamb, chicken tikka, a fish dish which eludes me saffron rice, dahl, naan breads as well as a soup. We walked away not feeling stuffed or bloated.
