"Absolutely awful service and treatment from the owner Norman. My partner and I had a voucher from the highland hospice to enjoy 2 courses from the early bird menu only to be told it “clearly states in big writing lunch menu and is not to be used on our early bird, we don’t make enough money from these charity vouchers” with a patronising and rude attitude. The voucher states lunch voucher 2 courses from early bird. The early bird states 12 5:45 and we arrived at quarter past 5 so I don’t see what time we could’ve used this. We were embarrassed in front of the restaurant as he walked off while we were trying to question it, asking if there was a separate lunch/early bird menu (there isn’t) he arrogantly stated “I don’t come to work to argue with customers”. We also paid to win this voucher and are now out of pocket. The young servers we dealt with were pleasant and understanding, it’s a shame the owner lets the place down, I’d urge anyone to stay away."

"We dined here last night, on an overnight stay in Inverness. I had the homemade chicken liver pate starter, rib eye surf n turf and the date and ginger pudding. My better half had the Prawn and mango starter, rump of lamb, and posset dessert. All carefully crafted, nicely presented and with great produce. The meats and seafood were outstanding. Pleasant staff, always willing to help. A little gem. Forgot to take any pics, as the nosh was too tempting."

"Visited this place twice during our short stay in Inverness. Beautiful ice cream at a reasonable price with really good staff. The bonus being that it was open until 10pm so you could use it for dessert after having a meal out. Lots of flavours to choose from and would recommend the Ferrero Roche and triple chocolate, hot drinks available as well. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area"

"The restaurant has a fantastic variety of beers, with a staff that is friendly and well-informed, creating a pleasant atmosphere. I didn't sample the food myself, but it appeared appealing, as many customers were ordering. I stayed in one of the rooms above the bar, which were basic yet spacious and clean. My room overlooked a "secret garden." Although I was very tired and fell asleep quickly, I could see how some may find it too noisy, even with the windows closed."

"social enterprise. this is just like a reasonable food place, is also a training place, so too time the service can lick a little less than it at a place where there is no training. there is a menu, well boiled, and in the well presented. I strongly recommend that they look for a meal in inverness. I would consider it in the top 5 I would choose from if I had lunch in the city."
