I have been looking everywhere for a superb Indian restaurant in the Stevenage area, and at last have found one, Hurrah! Codicote Spice is the one it is outstanding. I've eaten Indian food in many different areas, obviously some are better than others. This is the third time I've had a takeaway and will be the last. The service was very good but food was poor quality and very bland everything seemed like it was cooked in the same dish because everything was virtually the same colour. Byriani was terrible and lamb madras not good, Pashwari nan flat as a pancake, poppadoms were ok. Never again sorry. Service: Take out Price per person: £30–40

I recently ordered tikka tandoori, chaat puri and vindaloo with coconut/plain naan from this restaurant. I am disappointed to say that the quality of the food has greatly declined. The vindaloo was bland and watery, lacking flavor and the correct spices. The tandoori chicken was dry and unappetizing. After years of being a customer, we have decided not to return. In the past, the restaurant would include chocolates and hand wipes, small gestures that were appreciated. We hope that the restaurant will consider improving their food quality. This is one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to. The food is absolutely delicious, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the service is top-notch. I have tried a variety of dishes from the menu, and I have been impressed with each one. The spices are perfectly balanced, and the flavors are simply amazing. I highly recommend the butter chicken, the chicken tikka masala, and the biryani. The ambiance of the restaurant is also very nice.
