"We decided to try this restaurant based on the recommendations on TripAdvisor. My wife ordered the Prix Fixe menu, while I opted for the à la carte menu. The appetizer of sea roast was delicious but a bit small in portion size, while my wife enjoyed a generous portion of pheasant dish. Both dishes were presented beautifully. For the main course, the cattle cheeks were amazing and my wife continued with the game theme by ordering venison. The venison dish was slightly smaller than her pheasant starter, but it was well-cooked with a flavorful sauce. Desserts included a tasty crème brûlée and a cheese board with a good selection of cheese. Overall, we spent £90 including a 17% tip and wine. We would recommend this restaurant."

A meal with friends. Highlights included Ox tongue starter and Beef Cheeks main course. The partridge was nicely cooked and great flavour. A request for extra vegetables was not a problem. We enjoyed our evening thank you.

Booked as part of a two night stay at the hotel. The booking arrangements were good and there was a lounge outside the bistro to have a drink whilst selecting from the menu. Service and food were really good. A most enjoyable and relaxed meal.

We came here after many years to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had lunch in the Bistro and it was outstanding. The food was delicious, the service couldn’t have been better and the ambience was delightful. We would definitely recommend it and return when we are celebrating a special occasion. Do go, it is excellent.
