"If you are in Melton Mowbray then you must check out Amici they serve the best quality coffee and teas. Every customer is made to feel valued and respected. Have some great wines if you are dining. Wonderful breakfasts with continental options. The kitchen is open to view so you can see that they always use top quality products to make their array of meals. Do try the lasagne it's terrific. Also opens on some evenings."

"Two at the table ordered lasagne, one didn’t even eat half. Taste and looked like a tin of tomato soup with some semblance of lasagne in the middle. Lasagne itself didn’t appear to have bechemel sauce and the meat was sparse. No waiter checked on our table whilst eating. Another had the mushroom chicken with roast potato, it was felt the roast potatoes were aunt Bessie’s or similar, not fresh. No complaints on service other than the table not being checked on. Will not be returning due to the poor food quality. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Lasagna"

"It's an absolutely beautiful place. It's a gem of a place and the staff are so nice and friendly. We stopped off for a meal and ended up having a lovely 3 course. They had a set 3 course but me and my wife asked if they had Prawn cocktail for starters (as I'm a oldie), it wasn't but nothing was to much trouble for the staff and chefs. The food itself was gorgeous, I had the venison bourguignon, and it was mouth watering. It had an extensive menu, something to suit everyone. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Spotlessly clean. Couldn't fault it. I would highly recommend the Royal Oak, you will not be disappointed, that's for sure."

"Attended without a reservation and seated straight away, this place is a real gem. The staff/ owner are all very professional and polite. Fantastic range of Draught lager on offer, a very extensive menu with dishes that differ to all other typical restaurants. We ordered several items off the menu including starters. We were all very impressed by the quality of the food. The taste and texture was perfect. We will definitely return."
