"We had dinner on a Friday evening and it was noticeable that this place seemed much busier with locals than others around - always a good sign. We had one meal from the EUR16.50 menu and another from the 19.50 menu. Starters were pate de campagne and an Italian meat platter. Mains were cassoulet and lamb tournedos. Desserts were cheese and crème brulee, all accompanied by a bottle of the house red.Food quality was very good throughout with good size portions and the cassoulet was very tasty with duck and local pork sausage. The house wine (bottled Dame Carcas - not the pichets) was worthy of note being not as dry as some local wines and very good value at 12.80. Service was quick and efficient. There is a little eating area outside if the weather is ok, but when we were there they were not serving outside. Although the building looks small inside is cosy and spread over two (possibly three) floors.Overall; an excellent meal and highly recommended."

We only stopped for coffee, but the menu looked good and the staff were very friendly. It offered a good price set menu and the food all looked lovely.

Cute restaurant reasonably priced, pork was a little over cooked but the gratin was divine. The house red was great and we really liked the hypocras. Will go again

Very quaint place with average service but above average food. We seat upstairs the fist night and enjoyed the 28euro menu items and salads. For New Years we had a 42 Euro menu which was fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed our lunch for 16,50€ each. The menu includes a Salad, a second plate that could be an exquisite Cassoulet, and a desert. The drinks were apart. The service was correct, but not extremely amusing, the local is warm and welcoming.

This was the first place we found in the old city sat outside in the square It reminded us of Allo Allo and it was loveley place to sit outside. It gets very busy so service varies but the food is very good reasonable and tasty. as is the selection of wine and set menus

Monday night, we got what may have been the last of the available tables bearing in mind the off season. We both had the middle of the menues which allowed a reasonable choise of starters, main course and desert. We wished to delay the choise of desert but the restaurant needed to prepare the dishes early on.The lamb was ok, not terrificService was good

We arrived Friday and pottered around the town looking at the shops and restaurants along the way. This place seemed reasonable and had dinner here. As it was quite hot we chose inside. It is local quaint inside with aircon. The chose the set menu. I had the pork and my wife had a cassoulet as the main. The portions were of good size and the meal was excellentThe service was quick although impersonal.

Had dinner there this week. Outside as the weather was lovely. Just next to the main square where restaurants line up the same menus all over. Only annoyance : a bit of traffic nearby. Good salds : chèvre on toast with duck smoked magret, tomato-mozarella. Main courses a bit disappointing : two lams chops (rack of lamb?) and somewhat burnt smell confit leg of duck...good potatoes! Nice ratatouille. Pleasant Corbières rosé.

"Visited today for lunch after reading a recent review about the high quality of food on offer. We were not disappointed! It was superb. There were 3 choices on each of the courses with one vegan option on each course. I had chicken fricassie which was the most delicious chicken dish I've had for a very long time. The meat was so tender, it fell away from the bone; the mushroom sauce was deliciously tasty - it wasn't over seasoned. My OH had tofu wok which he really enjoyed. Both were served with rice and runner beans. The starter was a dish of 2 types of melon one of which was watermelon, with feta. We didn't think it sounded great but we were very wrong. It was served with a dash of vinaigrette made with a light oil, a tiny bit of honey and toasted flaked almonds and was surprisingly interesting. All the flavours worked so well together. For dessert OH had the cheese plate with 3 different types of cheese which he loved but it couldn't have been better than my raspberry Eaton mess which was particularly good as it wasn't overly sweet. All for €18 each AND it was all organic! We sat outside in the courtyard which was a very pleasant area. The ambiance throughout was of calm. No background music, no clattering noises or shouting from the kitchen area. It was a little oasis of refined lunchtime dining, The service was impeccable. The young man who served us was very impressive and able to tell us what ingredients were used in the vinaigrette. It goes without saying that the high standard of food and service were also reflected in the high levels of cleanliness throughout. We only wish we'd discovered this place sooner and will be back again as soon as I can trust the OH's arm"
