"This place is the very definition of a hidden gem. A family run Italian restaurant with a small, but excellent menu. We went with friends for my son’s twelfth birthday and had a fantastic time. The pizzas in particular stood out, although the starters were...also great. The booze free tiramisu brought as as an unasked surprise for the kids to share with the birthday boy was a special touch and was devoured before the adults could even get a nibble. For sure a future regular both for eat in and takeaway. Be aware it is BYOB, but that’s no bad thing either."

"I visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago to celebrate a birthday with my partner. It was our second visit to the establishment, the first being in November 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic. The service initially started off well, with a warm greeting upon arrival, reminiscent of our first visit. However, as the evening progressed, the service from the wait staff deteriorated significantly. We had to actively signal for staff members, with only a 50% success rate in getting their attention. Despite ordering a second round of cocktails, they never arrived after a 20-30 minute wait, as it seemed we had been forgotten about. I eventually had to flag down a busy worker to request the bill and inform them to remove the second round of cocktails from our order. After promptly settling the bill, we decided to leave. It appeared that the restaurant was more relieved to see us go than to have another table to serve. It was evident that they were severely understaffed on a Thursday/Friday night - one would assume they would have enough help on a busy night like that. This second experience was a complete contrast to our first visit. I am unsure whether I will return in the future. Service rating: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40-50"

"Nice food, steaks are good value if you go on a Tuesday. Service not great, staff fail to check if you require more drinks etc during meal. Drinks are very expensive, wine is overpriced and being charged £2 for half pint of soda water is outrageous. Overall, a tasty meal, just be prepared to have your wallet emptied for drinks. "I have to say that this restaurant is my favorite place in Farnham! However, tonight after they brought out a small fire from a customer leaving a napkin on a candle that the staff did not notice, we received no thanks for saving their restaurant. The service and food were amazing as always, but when I used the restroom (which I had never done there before), I was shocked by the condition of it. I will return to the restaurant because I will not let one bad experience deter me, but Cotes, please pay attention to your toilets and your tables that can catch fire!"

"The food was excellent. One suggestion would be for the salad dishes to contain more oriental leaves rather than lettuce and tomatoes being included in the dishes. Would also be great to have the bar at a level so one can see the chefs dealing with the ingredients as the bar wall is too high. One of the great things about eating in Japanese restaurants generally is the theatre of the chefs cooking which is not the case here."
