In a few words, after 40 minutes of expectation and still no trace of food on our table. Nice view on Dom doesn't work anymore. You've got to be kidding us!

Went there with some friends, looking for some real German food.....and we found it! Excellent food, excellent beers, excellent sight, excellent price. If possible, I will return!

Leisurely. Delicious. Food. Wine. Beer. We enjoyed all of it. Highly recommend this Greek restaurant for a classy meal. Nice jazz music. Comfortable booth/bench seating. Very nice complementary soup sample to take the chill off upon arrival. Everything cooked perfectly.

A nice place with a very good view. Nice service recommending nice dishes. I had the red wine... nice choice. The starter was very good, although a big portion. The main was excellent a mixed grill. The downside was as mentioned on another review... the waiting time. It worth the visit

A local gentleman reccomended this place to us, also because of the view on the Bamberg Dom. We enjoyed not only the view, but also the food and the friendly service. The restaurant, named Leo , is walking distance from the busier center of Bamberg, uphill, a few meters away from the ancient Carmeliten Kloster. Really worth the small detour !

We were getting a bit tired of dumplings and local food. The Dom Terrassen was just down the street from our penzion. What a wonderful find! Food was fantastic. We are used to great Greek restaurants in Sydney, Australia. If the weather is nice, there is a lovely terrace where you can eat outside. Be prepared that not all the waitstaff speak English.

Yesterday my husband and I enjoyed a fantastic grilled seafood dinner with a view to die for! I was expecting a small view of Bamberg’s Cathedral from a distance, but instead had a “drop the mike view” of the Dom from the terrace, which delightfully enveloped the restaurant. Equally important were the owners, Anna and Volder, who made us feel welcomed and special. We enjoyed our exchanges during the evening and meeting their beautiful family. We were staying in an Airbnb up the street and our host recommended this place. About 6 months ago, the cuisine switched from German to Mediterranean (Greek). We had baked feta, stuffed grape leaves, metaxa gyros, and souvlaki stuffed with feta which came with round puffed homemade fries. Everything was delicious. They squeezed us in without reservations, which was a good thing since they had to move people off their beautiful terrace due to a thunderstorm. They even offered us complimentary ouzo. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Older reviews that were less than desirable were probably when they were newer and working out their routine.

We stumbled (literally) upon this lovely spot while biking (slowly) back to our guest apartment on the Kaulberg in Bamberg this summer. What a gem! You would never guess how charming the interior and terrace are from the street. Once inside you're in for a treat! We were fortunate to happen by on warm August evening, which meant we could take full advantage of the beautifully situated terrace. The view across a woody ravine towards the cathedral really is fantastic. My husband and I had already eaten dinner, so we just ordered drinks and shared some tapas. My rosé was perfect, my husband's locally brewed beer refreshing and the tapas beautifully done. Service was friendly and prompt. Prices...
