"We struggled to find seating in this popular brewery which was not surprising as it was a lovely summers evening.We ended up sharing a table in the outdoor area which wasn't too much of a problem especially as our fellow diners were considerate enough not to smoke while we were eating. The only problem for us was that we do not speak German and were not presented with an English menu (we didn't ask for one for fear of offending) Therefore we could only order the Pork Schnizel which in fact was delicious.We also had our first taste of smoked beer and it was fine, tasted somewhat like English real ale and we enjoyed it. Deserts are not available here and unfortunately by the time we finished the Gelateria on the corner was closed. Very reasonably priced for good quality food and drink."

"a restaurant with an upscale vegan kitchen. there is also a menu with meat, but the vegan menu was very well marked. also the service staff could ask for the vegan menu to answer professional wise. we had the 4 go menu and it was totally visually appealing and super delicious again!"

"the food has earned 5 stars in every case! incredibly tasty and beautifully dressed! ambiente very cozy, with love for detail also according to our taste. Unfortunately, the guests at the side table had a small child with constant quenching and a quiet entertainment was hardly possible, but this can be anything locally and that is what happens. after 2 services were 5 times past us, without greeting us good evening would have been enough, we had nothing to drink and also no menu we then decided to speak the service power at the 6th time otherwise we probably still sow there . the restaurant had on the evening 4! tables. other guests who came after us were declared the concept that feed, drink, etc. service was therefore disappointing for us. 3 stars and those who please pass the 10 euro drink money to the kitchen!"

"We were two and had reserved. First we were assigned tables next to the entrance, there was nothing left and we could choose. Unfortunately there was a loudspeaker box that was quite loud, so after consultation we continued to get in touch with what was not a problem. There the noise level was much more pleasant. The restaurant is very dark, it's a bit dark to me. We chose the Pulled Pork Burger, who was really good. The pommes or sweet potatoes were also very good. The homemade lemonades and ice teas are really recommended. Our service was very nice and also fixed. We had a nice evening in this place."

"I would normally not disturb checking a restaurant where we only eat a pizza, but this place deserves a lot of praise. In the middle of the old town, Little Italy has a nice atmosphere difficult to describe, but it just feels 'right'. Very friendly staff and an appetising menu sends all the right messages. We tried the Pizza Diavola and a pizza Don Corleone and two glasses from the Californian Chardonnay. It turned out to be two of the most tasty pizzas we've ever eaten with a certain taste of generous toppings. If we're ever back in Bamberg, I'd try to return here."

"Reservation by phone was simple, a few hours of notice and a party of persons was quickly accommodated. Ample spacing between different tables of patrons. Immediate contact tracing forms to fill out. Masks social distancing strictly enforced. Food was delicious, orders came out...just as requested. No modifications to meals allowed, although the food was well plated. Restaurant was very clean all throughout, to include restrooms. Gorgeous spacing with upstairs ground level seating. We enjoyed our meal in the best sushi in bamberg. Thank you"

"We stumbled (literally) upon this lovely spot while biking (slowly) back to our guest apartment on the Kaulberg in Bamberg this summer. What a gem! You would never guess how charming the interior and terrace are from the street. Once inside you're in for a treat! We were fortunate to happen by on warm August evening, which meant we could take full advantage of the beautifully situated terrace. The view across a woody ravine towards the cathedral really is fantastic. My husband and I had already eaten dinner, so we just ordered drinks and shared some tapas. My rosé was perfect, my husband's locally brewed beer refreshing and the tapas beautifully done. Service was friendly and prompt. Prices were very reasonable and the menu looked very promising - I hope we get a chance to dine there the next time we visit Bamberg!"

"Perfect service, fast order, quickly served, great vegan offer, different vegetable milk to coffee, all fresh and very tasty. The young service was very courteous, nice and lovable. Very attentive, constantly asking if everything is okay and a champagne on the house for birthday. That's exactly how I imagine a nice breakfast that then, because of the feel-good factor and the great service lasted until 13.00. Very happy next time again"

"we were eating at the sirtaki last week. unfortunately we could not sit in the garden due to the weather. Nevertheless, the service and eating as usual was very good. the tellers with different orientations (suflaki, gyros, leber)., were very lush and we had to put in a lot. as an appetizer recommend the filling paprika (florinies) or the pear soup. above all the price is to be highlighted in comparison with other Greeks here positiw."

"I lived in Bamberg and anyone said I had to go to Francesco, so I had a date there... well... I though it was an high quality, well dressed Italian restaurant. As I went there I was overdressed and the service under-dressed, with sneakers (I don 't expect sneakers in an elegant restaurant! , the waitress unkind and the waiter McDonald style. Food was in the average, noting exceptionally that I had expected from a restaurant so well known. Dishes where dirty and the famous panoramic view over Bamberg ... well in Bamberg there are much better places to watch the panorama. I don 't suggest Da Francesco and I definitely won 't go there again. Maybe I had too high expectation, but also without I would have been disappointed."

"we were looking forward to dinner at hoffmanns after some friends have recommended it, but our experience has proven to be somewhat disappointing. the waiter was sure friendly and efficient, but tables inside were tight together and there was very little air circulation, and to...cold and wet, sitting outside. the interior was ok. our steaks were properly cooked and were quite delicious, but not as good as steaks that we had in a few other restaurants in the opposite. the supplements were very average. there was a decent wine menu. our bill included a fee of 4 euro for something called tschechie that we had never seen on a restaurant bill in Germany, probably for a basket of pure white brot that we had not ordered. we thought that was a little sticky and we probably won't return."

"we are often in the hofcafe and always feel comfortable here. the service is very friendly, sometimes when a lot is going on, it takes something, but that is hardly noticeable. eating is very good, on the evening card are quite many dishes that sometimes protrude from the standard offer. the dishes offered also change more frequently, so there is always a change. you can also order smaller snacks from the other card. is also great the weekly change menu with suppe and dessert. breakfast is also beautiful here. Unfortunately, the situation for car drivers is somewhat unfavorable, but so is the bamberger inner city, they get used to it."

"Einfach SUPER!!! Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und Willkommen!!! Das gesamte Personal ist supernett und ist bemüht alle Wünsche zu erfüllen, mit dem Bedienungsknopf am Tisch läuft dies sehr dezent und trotzdem rasch ab (eine geniale Idee). Selbst die Onlinereservierung ging so simpel und hat hervorragend funktioniert. Die Speisekarte ist breit gefächert, für jeden Geschmack was dabei! Und das Essen war fantastisch. Selbst die alten Räumlichkeiten sind mit Liebe zum Detail und zum Wohlfühlen hergerichtet. Am Nachbartisch konnte ich auch noch erleben, wie kinderlieb das Personal und der Chef sich um die Belange der Familie gekümmert hat. Mein Fazit ich komme bestimmt öfter wieder und kann dieses Restaurant absolut weiterempfehlen!!"

"Wow! This place has the most courteous staff well-practiced COVID precautions. From the entry door, through meals, and upon exit there is several reminders in place. Further detail, the practice of virtual check-in via QR code to the constant system of wash, rinse,...disinfectant was a phenomal sight to see. I would bring my family friends to a restaurant as this well know they will remain safe. Even an employee gully sanitized hands then offered to take photo of us, then quickly sanitized her hands once more. I tip my hat off to yall in being able to maintain a steady flow and keep all patrons safe. Thank you!"

"it should be a nice evening with good steak food....Rib-Eye ordered, rumpsteak comes....Short demand at the first passing waiter, he gets reinforcement... waitress who took the order comes: "What's going on?"problem explains, teller taken along. and after a few minutes returned: "the cook says this is Rib-Eye!" After plenty of professional lashes of the gourmet steakkenner (my better half) - teller back in the kitchen....The spectacle in zig kten was not yet to end. waitress comes, explains that the cook meant it was a pass piece... he now gets a very nice piece. two more minutes later the waitress stands with approx. 5 kg of meat (beautifully sealed in foil) before us and declares that such a rib eye looks. AHA....After 30 minutes the ordered rib-eye actually came. in this time I had eaten my filetsteak of course....The shade is finally sitting in front of the rib-eye, the waiter comes over again and says: "oh, madame is already done...."Antwort on it (only in thought): it always eats so fast....There is a point for the drinking in the eyes we have laughed about this whole thing. that was honestly so bad and absurd that it was funny again. the next time, we prefer to spend the 100€ for Comedy cards. ps: the quality of the steaks was really good after the right one was served. the supplements unfortunately somewhat taste-neutral....We are from the other restaurants of the gastro group to happy a completely different quality, especially also used for service. so soon little italy."

"Indian place with colourful decoration and great food. They especially have quite a choice of vegetarian dishes. Some other dishes are vegan or can be veganised. The food is flavorful and delicious, but friends have told me they think the portions are too small. I don't agree to be honest, I have never left there feeling hungry. Still it might be something to keep in mind. The typical dish costs around 9 to 12 € and includes basmati rice. It's close to the train station which means it's not close to the inner city. However in a small town like Bamberg not close is not far either. Best to take a bus from the main bus station to the train station and walk the rest of the way"

Hint: some rough jokes are part of the local serving style to...encourage you to enjoy food and drinks ; star for the beer diversity Keller beer would be my recommendation for starters. try one Rauch beer before ordering more, might not be everybodies favorite. Star because that place is always crowded and it's usual to be seatet at the same table with locals or tourists in this cosy tavern. "The Wilde Rose is a bit off the beaten track and a walk (uphill) from the town centre. But if you are after a typical Bavarian beer garden you will not be disappointed. It is a mixture between a picnic area in a park and...an outdoor beer garden (obviously This because they are quite happy for you to bring your own food as they know you will drink their beer! You walk past a brewery on your way there. Let's start with the beer. You buy from a window through which you gain a little glimpse of the tradition of the place. Staffed by people who should long be retired you receive frothing steins of a small selection of really good beers with a wink and in some cases a toothless grin. Not much English spoken but the international language of beer helps!! They charge a deposit on the steins as experience has obviously taught them that they disappear at the end of a long night!! At one end of the spectrum they do a lovely Pilsner and at the other a huge smoky beer think of taking a sip from a burnt out bonfire. Like that. The food is full on German meat fest. Forget the presentation, it's the food you are after. Huge hunks of Pork leg with sauerkraut, cold cuts etc etc. Not for the fussy or picky eater here. It is huge fun and you have to get involved. After a few of those steins you will anyway!!"

"Those who want to eat good, regional and seasonal in Bamberg are looking forward to the Kleehof. The cook puts together a new card every six weeks we've always been waiting for. There are always ingenious vegetarian dishes, super-leckers of fish, a wide range for small hunger (colds that can also be put together we tapas) and enough for medium and great hunger. Always lamb, wild or refined from beef, poultry or pig. Franconian wines and sweets, for which one should come to the Kleehof alone, flank the whole. The atmosphere is good, but some of the furniture comes from the predecessor. High quality, but a little baroque. They try to meet modern elements. The tables are not too tight, you sit well alone, two and also in larger or smaller groups. The staff is on zigzag, friendly and knowledgeable, inconspicuous and tactical. Prices are slightly higher, but this is our opinion, they are more than reasonable for the best food that Bamberg offers gastronomy. You should write the review as a poem."
