Now we have a first class local serving a wide range of well kept, frequently changing local beers together with excellent, freshly cooked and reasonably priced pub grub. All credit to Steve and his team for rejuvenating this venerable old pub and bringing it bang up to date. Highly recommended, visit once and you will return."

Had two meals now, first last week off the full menu then this Sunday off the Sunday Lunch. Thoroughly enjoy both meals and the excellent choice of beers are a bonus. Will be visiting regularly

We took our service users yesterday for a meal, can’t fault the service at all, the service users loved it, food was great, we was really looked after, we all can’t wait to go again, thankyou all for a lovely time

We had the pie and chips which were amazing good value the pudding I had was syrup sponge and custard well it was the best pudding I’ve ever had, and eaten a few. The place was very clean and the staff really friendly. Can’t wait to go back.

Second visit to duke of sussex for food, came with partner and 2 children. Excellent food and ate on the eat out to help out scheme so bargain price at £11 including drinks for all 4 of us! Will definately be back again. Thank you for being so friendly and welcoming

Warm welcome from the bar tender, starters arrived quickly and piping hot, mains were a hearty meal. Lovely fresh home cooked food. Just what was needed to set it apart from the microwave pub brigade. Already looking forward for our next visit. Worth a visit and I think great value.
