"Went here on 21st October before the cinema with my partner. I’ve been to Ed’s multiple mainly the Brighton branch and have never had any problems with the brand. Unfortunately Watford was not as good as I had hoped. When seated they were unaware of my booking and when I told them we booked for 5pm, the woman who I assume is the manager just looked at me very confused. Every time I’ve been to Ed’s I have always had great service but I have to say here is not. I ordered Mozzarella dippers and I asked if I could swap out the BQQ sauce for sour cream, as I have an allergy to something in BBQ, she just said ‘no unless you want to pay for it’ I explained I cannot eat BBQ sauce and that when I have eaten at Ed’s before they have had no issues swapping it out for me and making sure things have no BBQ traces in them however she was certain there was no way she could switch them! I ended up saying don’t worry about any sauces with my meal as we were on a time limit. My partner ordered the spicy chicken wings, as we waited a while for our mains to be bought over we overheard the chef asking worrying questions like ‘what is a chicken burger with just lettuce’ and not knowing what it was. Our mains arrived before our starters lukewarm May I add. We said we ordered starters and the same manager just said ‘oh ok’ and took the starters from a heat lamp and just sort of half arsed put them on our table with our mains. My boyfriend didn’t get wings, he got chicken strips with no spice on them, and the ribs he ordered were half warmed as if they had been microwaved a couple of times but before we could even comment on it the manager had quickly gone back to her laptop on the side talking to a waitress leaving one member of staff to do everything in the restaurant from seating people to serving completely run off his head. We had no meal check backs and the manager just went home despite seeing our empty plates and us waiting to pay for the food. I’m extremely glad that I had my 2 f"

We went out for a birthday dinner and brought along 5 teenage boys. The staff did an amazing job in accommodating the boys, providing them with their own area to enjoy their meal. They were very attentive and extremely kind. It has been a while since we have received such excellent service!

The dining experience was absolutely terrible. I was served a burger with "salad," if you can even call it that. The salad was old, dry, and not fresh. The eggs were overcooked and rubbery, while the hash browns were overly greasy. The service was extremely slow, and the staff seemed disinterested.

Good breakfast deals. You pay for a meal and as long as you have eaten everything on your plate you can order the same breakfast again for free. Advice to staff, most people like tea/coffee with their breakfast, so don't serve the tea 10 mins before the meal, believe it or not it actually gets cold. Overall good service and was greeted well by the front of house staff.

My wife and I came with our young son, we were served by a young lady called Serena who was very polite and welcoming, she even got a high-5 from our son. She even got him a free milkshake for finishing all his dinner The food was lovely; tasty burgers, crunchy fries and the milkshakes are amazing! The 50s style of the place was fun and quirky, it was all very clean and well maintained. I would definitely go again

It has been a while since we visited as I was never overly impressed. 2 lunchtime meals both well prepared and presented. I had the chicken tenders which were hit, crispy and juicy. For the heat lovers there was Frank's hot sauce on the table which complimented them perfectly. The fries were tasty with skin on which really helps the flavour. My better 1/2 had a chicken, cheese and bacon burger with plain fries which they helpfully delivered for her. Milkshakes were thick, creamy and tasty. We will come back !
