Came here in Friday, very relaxed vibe, good food, served fast at the bar with a nice crowd in. Had a lovely time, will be back for sure

The food was fantastic, the staff were great, and the atmosphere was brilliant. I would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great experience.

As a group for mothers day. The staff are very nice but the service was slow. Such a large gap between starters. Starters good, roasts ok, put nice but mash had strange flavour.

Staff were nice but pub was cold and the food was well below average. We used to go here a lot for roast dinners. We went in August and it was poor, we returned again recently to give it another try and it was just rubbish. Food is awful if I’m honest

This was our first visit to the restaurant since it was renovated. We loved the new changes and the atmosphere was fantastic. We had dinner and the food was top-notch - every dish was perfect. The Korean chicken and gammon were particularly outstanding. Our waitress, a young northern girl with blonde hair, was exceptional - friendly, polite, and attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely be returning.

The pub was dirty , cold and the decor was atrocious. I have been to more comfortable squats. The food was served to our table at such different intervals that we all had to eat virtually alone. For the price the food was more than poor. A roast dinner with very low quality meat and undercooked 'roast ' potatoes. The staff were pleasant enough. I was informed that this place was good but I was not impressed and would never repeat the experience or recommend to anyone.

This was my first visit to the restaurant after it was renovated. The new look is beautiful. However, I was very disappointed with the menu options for plant-based (PB) guests. They no longer had the Moving Mountains burger, so I had to settle for a noodle dish which was not great. My friend had to order three starters as her main dish because of the lack of options. I hope they bring back the PB burger. Additionally, I did not agree with the service charge added to the bill.

Never felt the need to leave a review before, but after this experience I feel compelled to. Went with my mum for a Sunday roast. Beef roast was £19.50 and pork 14.50 was possibly the worst roast dinner I’ve had. Roast potatoes were not roasted, were more like boiled. Half a plate of red cabbage and spring greens swimming in gravy The pork was loin pork chops that had thick edges of uncooked fat which was for sure not roasted. (See pic) had to ask for a steak knife to eat it. The beef was like 2 cheap bits of steak cooked well done chucked on top of the veg. And whole dinner was luke warm. Despite booking in advance, upon arrival we were told there was no pork or chicken roasts available, and they had run out of roast potatoes. We were offered beef roast dinners with chips. This could have all been forgiven if the veg wasn’t all overpowered with star anise and pepper! Our waitress- Deanna checked in on how the food was just seconds after we’d started to eat. A few mouthfuls in a hair was found in one of the dinners, our waitress had disappeared at this point, the barman was occupied talking to a regular and who we now know to be the manager was sat with her back to the pub on her laptop. 35 minutes passed and our dirty plates were still sat in front of us, I went to the bar to...
