"I happened upon this restaurant based purely on the reviews and its close proximity to the nearby Marriot. Usually I would go for a safe pizza option but as there is nothing nearby (that I've already tried or dismissed) I was just browsing based on location. Having never tasted Ethiopian food this was a bit of a punt!Its location is away off the main roads with nothing else nearby - inside it's almost like a converted front room - the sounds and smells from the kitchen are just behind a door (some extraction would be useful as the onions were making me cry!) I was a little apprehensive even as I took a look at the menu outside - I roughly translated a lamb/mutton dish so figured it was worth a try. I walked in to it empty but was quickly greeted by a lady who offered up a table for one.I went for the spiced lamb, I think, based on my crude online translations. Having read other reviews I was expecting a bit of a wait (and to eat with hands although I was offered cutlery) but the dish came out reasonably quickly seeing as I was the only one there at the time. They didn't have Orangina so I had to make do with an orange juice. The dish itself looked a bit thin on the ground with the meat in a small dish with a small portion of lentils and salad all on a thin pancake - there was also a rolled up pancake as a side. I needn't have worried, all together it was more than enough although I really liked the lentils so could have had another portion. With no reference to go by I did like the combination - the lamb was fried with spices and not chewy, the pancakes had lemon on them I think which made them less plain. The salad was just lettuce, tomato and red onion and went with the meat nicely. All demolished pretty quickly - the meat wasn't too hot but had good flavour.It became busier shortly after I'd finished but I can see where the reviews about slow service come from - it seems there are just a couple of people doing everything- it could well be someone's 'home restaurant'. The price of the dish also seemed a little steep for what it was, tasty as it may have been.Definitely off the tourist trail and one to try, but don't expect anything quickly - this one could be a slow burner at busy times. The choice was a bit of a curveball for me but I can say I've tried Ethiopian food now. A bit too pricey (should have tried the 30% off via the fork which may have balanced things up) but as a new experience worthba visit."

Cadre sympathique pour une sortie entre amis, le service est très bien et le fait de placer les mets sur un plateau avec d'autres assortiments rend le repas très convivial !

Il faut bien deux heures en moyenne pour souper, même quand il n'y a que la moitié de la salle pleine, mais ça en vaut la peine: tout est bon, épicé juste comme il le faut, et les portions sont généreuses. Le vin est choisi avec goût. Le personnel est exceptionnellement attentionné,le lieu visiblement ancien, est modeste mais accueillant, la musique d'ambiance éthiopienne très relaxante. Le rapport qualité prix est très satisfaisant. Allez-y lorsque vous n'avez rien d'urgent à faire ensuite, avec des amis avec lesquels il y a matière à converser, et vous passerez un moment très agréable!

Dans la catégorie cuisine du monde c'est bien décevant. Aucune variété de saveur comme on peut avoir avec la cuisine thai, marocaine, chinoise ou libanaise par exemple.Ici cest un mix de portions de : haricot vert et carottes en conserve, lentilles, purée de pois cassés, oeuf dur, cuisse de poulet de batterie, bœuf haché, émincé de dinde, le tout dans un plat nappé d'une galette mi-cuite et assaisonné de manière indélicate avec divers épices pas très subtil et surtout extrêmement salé.Je n'avais jamais entendu parler de gastronomie éthiopienne je comprends désormais pourquoi.L'effort pourrait au moins être fait sur la deco et l'ambiance, que c'est triste cette salle en longueur donnant sur l...
