"After hearing my friend rave and this cafe and their eggs Benedict I was expecting a great meal. First of all when we walked in we were ignored by the staff who were walking past us, not one of them acknowledged us or said we’ll just be a minute. Nothing. When they eventually sat us down our order was taken quite quickly and the 2 girls who served us were very nice. I ordered my eggs Benedict. They arrived with the tiniest portion of hollandaise sauce, it was hardly worth putting it on, the bacon was over cooked and too touch to cut. The eggs weren’t runny at all. I don’t know why I didn’t send it all back but I was starving and it was edible-just. What a total disappointment. The whole place needs a good clean, I don’t know why everywhere else in the world except the UK is perfectly clean, British cafes floors etc always seem to be covered in a layer of grime. The chair I sat on was a cracked imitation leather seat that should be thrown in the bin. Total disappointment"

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for some time and I was not disappointed. It was the best breakfast I have had in a while. The food was of good quality and very tasty.

It’s unfortunate but include only give this one star as two of us were unable to drink our cocktails, they were absolutely horrendous. We cannot comment on the food as we decided not to stay.

We often pop into here mostly for the hash pates and the cocktails. Always a chilled vibe and a genuine sense that the food is fresh and well sourced and the cocktails generous and potent. Attracts an interesting crowd for w reason.

Very busy as expected for a Saturday brunch. Coffee was a 6/10. Overall vibe is good but very loud on bench dining hall style seating at the rear of the venue. Brunch menu is good, lots of options. Too many chives in the eggs and too much butter on the toast, the bread lost its integrity and was floppy. Food was good but service was slow- to be expected when so busy. Would return but during the week to experience without the weekend rush. Visualizza piatti

Walked in because I was early for an appointment. Bought my lunch there to tskeaway as it’s well presented shop with welcoming staff. Neighbourhood feel. I’ve just eaten it and it is seriously one of the best flippin salads I’ve had in a long long time. Salad on a snowy day may not sound appealing but this one is unbelievable. U hummed and ha ed before buying because it felt a bit expensive if I could make lunch at home. It’s not. It’s a bargain have left half of my “small” salad for later. Dont hesitate. If you have the , buying a salad there will bring you joy. Even in the cold.

We had a great experience at this charming independent cafe. Our party of five was warmly welcomed, even though we made a last-minute change to our booking. I tried the Turkish eggs, which were delicious, although there was slightly too much yoghurt and the sourdough could have been thinner. The drink selection was impressive, and the fresh juices and dairy-free coffee options were a hit. The atmosphere was lively and the decor was lovely, creating a comfortable setting. The service was excellent and I couldn't fault it. Parking can be a challenge, so it's best to plan ahead and make a reservation. Overall, I highly recommend this accommodating spot with a diverse menu to cater to various di...

Turned up at lunchtime and were sat in a room which had several young families present so it was quite noisy! Our order was taken promptly however after 40 minutes there was no signs of the food (drinks came a lot sooner) and as I am diabetic I needed feeding urgently so we had to explain and ask how much longer we’d have to wait, the food came shortly afterwards coincidence maybe or had we just jogged their memory? When it came I’m pleased to say it was very tasty, Turkish eggs were delicious however the sausage sandwich was not very big, the menu did not give much information about portion size so I had finished my sandwich well before my friends. So overall not the best place to get fast... Visualizza piatti

I have been a frequent visitor to Ernest since it first opened and have always enjoyed my time there. However, in recent years it seems like they have lost some of their original charm and now prioritize profits over providing a unique experience. The portion sizes of their hash bowls have significantly decreased while the prices have doubled, making it feel like you are paying £14 for a bowl of pasta and potatoes. The "local hero" full English breakfast is also priced at £14, but you only receive one of each item, such as one egg and one sausage. This is quite disappointing, especially during a time of financial hardship when spending on dining out is limited. The service is slow and the me...

good food, but the service is honestly shocking. I came as a group of four we were seated and waited around 20 minutes for someone to come over. The server that did come was very unenthusiastic and we were simply asked “what do you want” when taking our order. he was very cold and was borderline whispering when talking to us (in a very crowded restaurant this isn’t ideal). The drinks took around 25 minutes to arrive (2 glasses of water, a can of coke and a coffee) and the food took at least 50 minutes. I understand that the restaurant was busy and I have no issue in the food and drinks taking so long to arrive but the attitude of all the staff was pretty unbelievable. i should mention that w...

"The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing."
