"I recently stopped for a quick lunch at Trattoria Fioravante, which is situated on a road next to a canal that leads in from Lake Garda. I was warmly welcomed and given a choice of sitting outdoors on a covered patio, in the main dining...room or out on an enclosed porch. I sat out on the porch and found tables nicely decorated and covered with cloth tablecloths. A breadbasket contained a terribly dry and tasteless bread, though I did find some packaged breadsticks on another table. Fioravante is owned and operated by a couple, with the woman taking care of orders and service and her husband working in the kitchen. I would imagine there is additional help during the busy tourist season. The menu, while somewhat limited, had a good selection of antipasti, primi (pasta course) and entrees. There were also daily specials. I started my meal with an antipasto of Octopus Salad (9 euro) served warm with potatoes and fried polenta on a bed of greens and radicchio. The portion size was generous and the octopus was tender. I followed this with one of the daily specials; Spaghetti allo Scoglio (13 euro) that included mussels, cockles, one shrimp and a few calamari tentacles. Unfortunately, the mussels were ice cold and had been precooked. The dish wasn't as flavorful as I anticipated and it was missing the overall flavor from the seafood. I had a bottle of sparkling Corte Viola Chardonnay; a simple table wine and I paid for only what I consumed. It would have been nice to have an ice bucket to keep the white wine chilled during my meal. I inquired about homemade desserts on the menu. The hostess explained they had a Banana Semifreddo, Panna Cotta and Crema Bavarese. I passed and simply ordered an espresso cafe. While the hostess was very pleasant, I found the food to be mediocre. I have no plans to return t Trattoria Fioravante and I cannot recommend this restaurant to the TripAdvisor community."

Good restaurant with very simple food but typical taste of the region. Fresh lake fish. Good region wine (bardolino). Friendly owners.

We run in for lunch by accident after a long bike ride missing our connection in the city. then it was just great Mama recommending Papa cooking and daughter serving. Real good pasta and salat, smooth wine and fun dessert. All good home made and...reasonable, even with a nice chat with locals having lunch there every once a year!!

delicious, unpretentious eating in this family-run restaurant. the staff are very friendly and willing to translate the menu. next to al a carte make a fish or meat menu from 20 euro where you can get a pasta dishes. that of a meat or fish dish and then ice. is great worth that you are hungry. good house wine too. better value and tasty food than sits on the canal front in the center of p del g.

We had only a few hours in Peschiera and happened on this wonderful trattoria around 2.30 for a late lunch. The people were delightfully warm and friendly and open, and the food was fantastic. We had spaghetti with obviously freshly caught clams and muscles, and...they gave us large gamberi shrimps as a free extra. This place is a must if you find yourself in Peschiera. Next time we'll try their hotel as well.

Never have I had such an appalling experience in my 35 years of travel My wife and three young children stopped here for a breakfast coffees and drinks staff were ok but after when we paid we asked for a taxi to be called both...the server and the manager advised us they did not have a number for a taxi and that a rank was metres away, yes 1000 metres uphill across main roads whoever you are you are a disgrace to Italian tourism PLEASE AVOID

After a long day traveling we ventured outside our complex and came across this bar/restaurant. Given its Italian/German theme we expected quality, but were thoroughly disappointed. We got a nice table with view over the lake, discounting the bus parking as that is not the...restaurants fault. With two tired young children we were then forced to wait 20 minutes before someone even came to ask what we would like to eat. A very short conversation as we weren 't asked if we wanted to have any side orders which proved to be last drop later on. It took us to chase twice and another 20 minutes before our drinks arrived which were slammed on the table. As we made a comment about the waiting time, w...
