Asked if it was possible to have a plain scone as I don't like dried fruit , No it wasn't. Asked if I could share one as I've had stomach surgery was told No I couldn't . Everything was boxed nicely so I could take most of it home though . Good value though x Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We found this lovely cafe after doing the Hanbury Circular Walk. Food was delicious, we had the jacket potato with coronation chicken (very yummy) and the Ploughman’s. Staff were friendly and the cakes were delicious. Very good value for money. (Three cyclists)... Pop in for a drink of tea for three. We were served with a pot of tea ,which we all thought very nice touch, but the cups were very small, on stiring the pot and trying to mash tea bags,to my astonishment there was only one tea bag in pot.and on pouring it was extremely weak, to which we all pulled a face at this.tea was awful,on going to counter to pay ,I could not believe the price,wait for it £8.75 that works out at £2.91 each. but a full breakfast is £11.75 what on earth are they trying to do. Rip off Britain that's what. Will not go again

The breakfast was delicious, hot, high quality and served promptly. The lady was chatty and enthused when asked questions about her farm produce and home made cakes. Took away bread pudding and an egg custard tart, which were huge, tasted phenomenal and reasonably priced. Bathroom was spotless. I have just one suggestion to make the place more convivial put a radio on or some gentle music tinkling away in the background to break the stony silence in the restaurant room.
