Cafeteria style dining option for those seeking good value for the money. Food is overall pretty good at a very attractive price point. Kids meals for 5€ and adult 3 course meals for 10€. There is also a small play area for kids ages 3-7. Meals include unlimited vegetable bar which has mashed, fries, rice, green beans, zucchini.

Anyone heading through here on the way to or from the channel will appreciate the need for a quick easy food stop. The Flunch we went to was just off the motorway at an Auchan supermarket. Two portions of roast chicken, unlimited veg and two soft drinks for €16. Couldn't be better. Check out the supermarket here for good quality wines at great prices.

Located just off the A-10 Poitiers south, you'll find Flunch, a self-service buffet style restaurant with mains cooked to order, from steaks to pizza, quiche to...mussels. Quick, easy, excellent value, excellent food, great for travelling families, but be warned, its very popular and gets extremely busy at peak times, but even if you queue to order and get your food its well worth it. We always seek out a Flunch when travelling through France. Great choice, brilliant value and everyone can have something they like. The quality is good and some dishes are all-you-can-eat like the mussels. This Flunch was across the road from our hotel which we did a stopover at (Ibis Budget.) The staff were so helpful here, although I was speaking French to them and I'm not sure if anyone spoke English. I wanted a decaf coffee with milk which no one seemingly generally orders in France, but the server went out of her way to sort this out for me. I hate MacDonalds. I mean I really hate MacDonalds. I am definitely not a fan of fast food restaurants like Quick etc, and especially KFC. And of course MacDonalds!! But funnily enough, we were forced by circumstances to enter Flunch. Well what a surprise. Food...actually freshly cooked in front of you, and done to your requirements. Really fresh vegetables, served buffet style. And as much as you wanted. (I found out that Flunch's philosophy is have as many veg. as you want as often as you want) I even found that if you have a salad (really fresh again) the ingredients were laid out to make your own dressing to your own taste! This is an ideal restaurant for a 'meal on the go' and excellent value for money. The meal for the two of us came to 17 euros for a two course meal.Basically you choose a meal consisting of fish, meat, pasta, mussels for instance and then you can have as much of the vegetable selection as you wish, even returning for more if you need to. There is always a good selection of vegetables to choose from also potatoes and rice which are regularly topped up so the food is hot. There is also a green salad and various sauces and the steaks and burgers are cooked to order which is worth the wait.
