"We were travelling through the Vendée region after purchasing seafood for the festivities. We then were looking for a decent restaurant to have lunch when we came across The Louis XIII in Shallans. Our first impression was an extremely warm welcoming as we were shown to our table. We all ordered the Earth and Sea salad , we were not disappointed and even pleasantly surprised. The salad was copious, delicious and even adventurous as a fig ice-cream was served with it which was the perfect compliment to the smoked fillet of beef, duck and king prawns butterflies. Around 12.50 for a main course. Very friendly, helpfull staff and owner making you feel instantly at home. We all loved it and will definitely return when we 're visiting the region for its seafood. The salad was copyy, delicious and even adventurous since it was accompanied by a fig-ice ice that perfectly accompanied the smoked beef net, duck and butterfly gambas. About 12.50 for a main dish. The staff and the owner are very friendly and helpful that make you feel immediately as if you were at home. We all loved and will certainly return to our visit to the region for its seafood. Term"

"We went there by chance needing a quick lunch and thought it was fabulous . They are highly efficient and welcomed us warmly. The restaurant is not huge and we were glad to have got there at about 12 noon. I had the dish of 5 different types of smoked fish on the 3 course menu served with an excellent sauce, a local delicacy and delicious, followed by a small steak served with small roast potatoes and a small salad. The meat was perfect, far better than is normal for a modest menu price and the dish as a whole was excellent. The dessert was apricot tart and very good. The overall price with 2 coffees was 33 euro for 2 peopleThe staff are very friendly , with amusing quotations in the toilet and elsewhere, and we felt very much at home. It is relaxed, packed with locals and no signs of tourists, rapid service of excellent food, and plenty of jokes with the staffFaultless. Can't wait to get back. A new discovery but amongst the best we have discovered."

"Nous sommes venus avec mon mari, mes 3 enfants et notre petit chien qui a lui aussi pu venir à l'intérieur (un tres Bon point)! Nous avons passé un moment merveilleux en famille. Le rapport qualité/prix est super, nous avons chacun pris un menu complet. L'accueil était chaleureux et les serveuses étaient toutes aussi adorables les unes que les autres! Le restaurant était rempli et pourtant aucun désagrément pour nous! Nous le recommandons fortement."

"Décor moderne, simple, raffiné où règne en maître la propreté. Nous avions découvert ce restaurant il y a deux ans; passant à nouveau dans la région, nous y sommes retournés et n'avons pas été déçus; c'est toujours aussi bon : : la queue de lotte et la pintade étaient délicieux tout comme la soupe de fruits rouges et l'ananas rôti. Un seul bémol, nous avons beaucoup attendu, la patronne étant seule à servir ce jour-là; nous ne pouvons pas lui en vouloir car c'était exceptionnel et elle faisait au mieux avec le sourire, de plus elle s'est montrée très réactive quand nous lui avons dit que nous êtions un peu pressés."

"Bonjour,Je suis hyper déçu de ce restaurant que je connaissais auparavant il y a quelques années, les pizza étaient excellentes, là j'y suis retournée nous avons commandés des pizzas, la pâte mauvaise qualité, trop cuite, sans saveur on ne pouvaient manger que l'intérieur de la pizza (mal garnie, ingrédients pas frais), les bords de la pizza étant dur comme du béton et cassante, un vrai gaspillage.L'état du restaurant est viellot, aucune musique d'ambiance, morne.Je dénonce un réel laissé allé tant au niveau de l'accueil, de la qualité des pizzas (je sais qu'il y a quelques années ils avaient un vrai pizzaiolo) et des ingrédients.Merci de revoir le cadre, le décor. Et vraiment les pizzas étaient dégueulasses, le service de la répression des fraudes et de l'hygiène devraient faire un petit tour)!Plus jamais je n'y remettrai les pieds! Hyper U fait beaucoup mieux !"
