the absolute best ice cream i’ve ever had and i would class myself as something of an ice cream connoisseur i will now always tie in a swanage trip when taking the dog for a walk at studland!

Staff were friendly and helpful, gelato was rhubarb crumble and it was delicious lots of flavours to pick from but did not have the one we actually wanted. Price was a little steep but to be expected in a seafront location.

Five of us stopped for coffee's yesterday, which were excellent as was the service to the extent that my wife unfortunately left her purse with money cards behind. A surprise knock at the door this evening resulted with it's safe return (30 odd miles from Swanage).

Worth queueing for. Brought my young Italian friends on a day trip to include a visit to Fortes ,the best ice cream on the South Coast ,established in 1926 by an Italian and still run by the family .If I was ever working in the area, whatever the time of year, I would always have a cone here. They did not disappoint .Good value ,sizeable portion, reasonable price for hand made product from an independent business. I did ask for my favourite caramelised fig flavour (unavailable),I did not ask if they still produce it as there was a long queue, so settled on honeycomb.
